District Coordinator
Position Details

• Reports To : Project Manager
• Salary : Rs.46,000 per month (CTC)
Job Summary:
The District Coordinator is responsible for overall district-level planning, implementation, supervision and monitoring of the project. The position ensures effective government convergence, quality programme delivery, timely reporting and achievement of project indicators through leadership of the district team.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Programme Planning & Coordination:
• Prepare district work plans, implementation calendars and activity schedules.
• Coordinate implementation across all project blocks.
• Monitor progress against approved work plans and donor targets.
• Identify implementation gaps and develop corrective action plans.
Government Convergence:
• Coordinate with District Administration, Education, Women & Child Development, Health, Social Welfare and Panchayati Raj Departments.
• Prepare and update the District Convergence Matrix.
• Facilitate convergence meetings with Teachers, PRI members and Frontline Workers.
• Support government-led campaigns relevant to adolescent empowerment.
Field Supervision:
• Supervise, mentor and review Block Coordinators.
• Conduct regular field monitoring visits.
• Provide technical guidance and ensure quality implementation.
• Review block performance and follow up on action points.
Programme Implementation, Technical Support and Convergence:
• Coordinate Block and District-level workshops and project activities.
• Facilitate disability inclusion, referrals, and government convergence with Teachers, PRIs, and FLWs.
• Prepare and update the District Convergence Matrix.
• Support high-risk child marriage mapping and follow-up.
• Mentor Gender Transformative (GT) Champions.
• Provide technical support for GPDP and School Development Planning.
Monitoring, MIS & Reporting:
• Validate block data and ensure MIS quality.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
• Maintain referral tracking and follow-up records.
• Document workshop proceedings, case studies and best practices.
Key Deliverables:
• Key deliverables shall be measured through the assigned KRAs and KPIs of the position.
Educational Qualification:
• Master's Degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Sociology, Development Studies, Education or related discipline.
Experience:
• Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience supervising field teams.
• Experience in government coordination and donor-funded projects preferred.
