About Organisation: LEPRA Society is an organization working for people affected by Leprosy, lymphatic filariasis, TB, HIV/AIDS & other NTDs, Eye Care and governed by a board comprising of distinguished individuals from across India.
About the Project: With the support of The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (GFATM) and guidance from the Central TB Division, will be implementing; (a) Integrated Pediatric TB care services in both the public and private health sectors to increase pediatric TB case detection and improve treatment outcomes, and (b) Active Case Finding (ACF) for early detection of missing TB cases among key and vulnerable populations, using innovative AI-enabled portable X-ray devices. The project will be carried out through Sub-Recipient (SR) partners in the states of Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh.
LEPRA Society seek State Technical Manager based at State headquarter of the implementation geographies to lead implementation of project "Decentralizing Pediatric TB Care Services in Public & Private Health Sector and enhance case detection through ACF with Handheld X-Ray across selected geographies” in Raipur District – Chattisgarh State.
The position is for immediate employment
Key Responsibilities
• Provide oversight and support program operations at the state level
• Sustain linkages with state NTEP officials, regional/state WHO consultants, MD-NHM
• especially in the light of extensive around guidance, support and review for Project Progress
• Advocacy & networking with the State Officials/IAP, WCD, RBSK/RKSK and other medical associations for establishing partnerships and communications to the District Officials.
• Ensuring the uninterrupted supply of consumables diagnostics and drugs under the project
• Ensure creation of state level strategic approaches for effective implementation of operations, be responsive to ensure resolution of challenges at the state and sub state level
• Provide the necessary technical and administrative supervision to the team to achieve programmatic and financial objectives of the project.
• Conduct quality monitoring and supportive supervision considering the set targets to achieve
• Support the State TB cell in Project Implementation Plan (PIP) budgeting and provide technical leadership in articulating issues and proposing solutions
• Conduct Continuing Medical Education (CMEs) and training sessions for both public and private healthcare providers
• Carry out capacity building sessions for Project Team time to time
• Suggestions & feedback for improvement, MIS and communication material uptake and usage at Provider and patient level
• Focus on private sector engagement for initiation of Project activities through multilevel approach for intensive, Lite and Technical Support Districts
• Plan the State & District level TOTs in coordination with the multi sectoral Officials & IAPs for state specific content for trainings, modules and periodic workshops
• Facilitate State & District Level TB Forums and engaging the TB Champions in the Project for the benefit of pediatric PwTB for their treatment adherence and completion
• Support state in identification of medical college as a centre of excellence for pediatric TB and develop strategies for EPTB & complicated cases management in the districts.
• Represent the program in various government forums, partner meetings, and professional medical association meetings, and share updates
• Assist the State Director in preparing programmatic reports for the state on monthly/quarterly/ annual basis to submit to the State TB Cell and PR Team periodically
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual planning and reviews to ensure the project adheres to the established plans and addressing the technical & field level challenges
• Undertake any other activities and responsibilities as reasonably required by the project and organization
Qualifications and Skills:
• MBBS/BDS/BAMS with programmatic experience or Post Graduation in MSW with MPH
• 7+ years of professional experience in managing state level health programs, and experience with government engagement. Experience of implementing capacity building programs and health systems is necessary.
• Understanding of the TB program and private health sector functioning are preferable
• Ability to liaison & engage with stakeholders from multiple sectors of government, private health care providers, civil society and communities at state levels
• Familiarity with experience using M&E data in program management
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, and working knowledge of regional language
• Willingness to be based in state headquarter, and travel extensively to project implementation geographies
• Sound computer skills, including use of Internet, MS Office™ software, and data analytics
• Ability to prioritise and work independently as a team player in a complex, multicultural environment

Remuneration: Rs. 1,25,000/- (CTC) per month
