Project Background:
In today’s rapidly evolving world, knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) is essential to prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. STEM education fosters critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving skills, and innovation—qualities that are vital for both individual and national development.
However, students in many government schools, especially those from marginalized and under-resourced communities, often lack access to quality STEM learning due to inadequate infrastructure, limited exposure to practical tools, and outdated teaching methods. This learning gap not only affects their academic performance but also restricts their future career opportunities in technology-driven sectors.
Establishing STEM Mobile Van in government schools is a crucial step towards addressing this gap. These Vans will provide hands-on learning experiences, interactive digital content, and scientific equipment that encourage curiosity, experimentation, and a deeper understanding of core subjects.
This initiative aligns with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, both of which emphasize experiential and inquiry-based learning. By integrating STEM into the mainstream education system, the project aims to nurture a generation of thinkers, innovators, and problem-solvers who can contribute meaningfully to society and the nation’s growth.
