REACH is a non-profit organisation working on Tuberculosis and Non-Communicable Diseases, headquartered in Chennai. Established in 1999, REACH is currently implementing multiple projects across the country.
 
REACH is looking to recruit a Programme and M&E Coordinator to provide programmatic and M&E support for various projects that REACH is implementing in Maharashtra, as well as M&E support for projects in other states. The ideal candidate is a public health professional with a postgraduate degree in Public Health, Community Medicine etc. who is looking for an opportunity to gain experience in implementation, programme management, M&E etc.
 
Specific responsibilities will include:
  • Providing programmatic support to specific projects in the state of Maharashtra as required
  • Coordination with state and district health officials, and the TB programme
  • Undertaking regular M&E visits to project districts in Maharashtra, and to other states as required
  • Ensuring regular visits to various health facilities for supportive supervision of teams
  • Supporting in the consolidation of all project data based on various weekly and monthly reports
  • Ensuring high-quality data validation is done for project data as required
  • Ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation of all project activities.
  • Coordination with various teams within REACH to ensure cross-learning
  • Supporting technical trainings and capacity-building programmes for and with communities
  • Facilitating regular review meetings as required
  • Representing REACH at state-level and other meetings as assigned
  • Any other as relevant  
Qualifications, Experience and competencies required:
  • The ideal candidate is an MBBS or BDS with postgraduate degree in Public Health, Community Medicine etc. and 2-5 years of experience working in public health
  • Alternatively, post-graduates in Public Health, Allied Health Sciences, Social Sciences etc. with minimum 5-8 years’ experience in public health may also apply 
  • Good understanding of the public health system in India and ability to work closely with health officials
  • Experience in working on TB would be an advantage 
  • Strong understanding of monitoring and evaluation systems, and public health data
  • Experience in using EpiCollect, KoboCollect or similar tools
  • Experience in training frontline workers, affected communities etc.
  • Exemplary analytical, verbal and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office, Excel and other relevant software
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships and coordinate with a pan-India team based at different locations.
  • Ability to use tact and diplomacy with all sensitive issues and special situations.
  • High ethical standards and transparent working style
  • Ability to communicate, read and write fluently in English, Hindi and Marathi are essential. 
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Maharashtra and to other states (5-7 days a month minimum)
