Job Description (JD) – Accountant (GST)
Position: Accountant
Department: Finance & Accounts
Location: Kolkata, West Bengal
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: Up to Rs 20,000 per month (based on qualifications and experience)

Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, maintain financial records, ensure GST and statutory compliance, and support financial reporting in a commercial setup.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain books of accounts and record daily financial transactions.
• Prepare invoices, vouchers, and perform bank reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and file GST returns and handle TDS compliance.
• Assist in monthly closing, MIS reporting, and statutory audits.
• Maintain proper financial records and ensure compliance with applicable laws.

Qualification & Experience
• B.Com or equivalent qualification.
• 2–3 years of experience in accounting in a commercial organization.
• Working knowledge of GST, TDS, Tally Prime, and MS Excel.

Required Skills
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and GST regulations.
• Proficiency in Tally Prime and MS Excel.
• Good analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
