Jan Jagran Sansthan (JJS) is a non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children, women, and marginalized communities through education, child protection, health, gender equality, and community development initiatives. The Child Sponsorship Program focuses on ensuring the holistic development and well-being of sponsored children.

Position Summary
The Social Worker will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the Child Sponsorship Program. The position requires close coordination with sponsored children, their families, schools, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders to ensure the overall development of each child. The Social Worker will also support awareness campaigns and project activities aimed at promoting gender equality and preventing female gendercide.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
Child Sponsorship Program
• Conduct regular home visits and maintain close contact with sponsored children and their families.
• Monitor and support the overall development of sponsored children, including:
o Nutrition
o Health
o Education
o Physical well-being
o Social well-being
o Spiritual well-being
• Identify children requiring additional support and facilitate referrals to appropriate services.
• Coordinate with schools, teachers, health facilities, and local authorities to ensure children's needs are addressed.
• Support child protection interventions whenever required.
Documentation and Reporting
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of sponsored children.
• Submit timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Ensure proper documentation of field visits, meetings, and project activities.
Community Awareness and Mobilization
• Conduct awareness sessions on:
o Ending Female Gendercide
o Girl child rights
o Child protection
o Education
o Nutrition
o Health and hygiene
o Gender equality
• Mobilize community members, schools, self-help groups, youth groups, and local leaders to participate in project activities.
• Build positive relationships with government departments and community stakeholders.
Project Implementation
• Assist in planning and implementing project activities in accordance with organizational guidelines.
• Support surveys, assessments, monitoring visits, and evaluations.
• Organize community meetings, trainings, workshops, and campaigns.
• Perform any other project-related responsibilities assigned by the Program Manager.
Required Qualifications
• Master of Social Work (MSW) from a recognized university.
• Freshers with relevant field exposure or candidates with prior NGO experience are encouraged to apply.
Required Skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good documentation and report-writing abilities.
• Ability to work independently in rural and urban communities.
• Knowledge of child rights, child protection, health, nutrition, and education.
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel extensively within the project area.
Preferred Attributes
• Passion for working with children and communities.
• Commitment to gender equality and child protection.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Fluency in Hindi; knowledge of English is desirable.

Employment Type
Full-time

Salary
• 20,000 per month
• Travel expenses will be reimbursed separately as per organizational policy.
