The Youth Associate, Community Outreach with Men and Boys, is expected to work with 20 adolescent boys and 10 young men in the first year. They are expected to demonstrate a strong understanding of gender and masculinities considering the subject focus of the fellowship. As a part of the role, they are expected to mobilise the men and boys in the communities, create groups of men and boys at the community centre as well as in the communities, design modules and sessions, implement/ facilitate modules and sessions, seek out partnerships and opportunities for the men and boys, maintain all regular documentation and reporting for the work. Their ultimate goal is to mobilise and develop young men and boys as gender equality champions in the communities. The roles allows significant scope for growth and learning.

Roles and Responsibility:

Understand the vision and mission of Shakti Shalini to work toward gender equality.

Understand the vision and mission of the Community Outreach with Men and Boys, particularly regarding the importance of mobilising young men and boys through the lens of gender and masculinities as an essential contribution toward gender equality. - Carry out door-to-door mobilisation in the communities to form groups of men and boys both within the communities and amongst those coming to the community centre.- Form groups of young men and adolescent boys at the community centre and inside the communities as per the targets of the project. - Design the structures, systems, processes for these groups to go through social change processes effectively through the lens of gender and masculinities.

Design modules and sessions for the groups of boys and men through the lens of gender and masculinities.. Implement and facilitate modules and sessions with the boys and men through the lens of gender and masculinities.

Create and maintain external partnerships for the groups and bring external facilitators, opportunities, and resources to the groups.

Invest time, care, and nurture in the psycho-emotional safety and wellbeing of the groups.

Manage the day to day logistics and coordination for the groups such as calendars, schedules, time management, sourcing essential requirements, communication across mentors and programs.

Ensure that all qualitative and quantitative documentation, as planned, is maintained for the groups.

Ensure monthly reports are submitted to the organisation on the progress of the groups.

?Ensure that reports as per the formats and frequency mandated are prepared for the funder of the groups.

?Ensure implementation of the MEL system for the groups.

?Ensure data tracking and management for the groups.

?Ensure regular updates from the groups to the organisation's media team for content creation, newsletters, media outreach.

Represent the organisation, particularly the men and boys' groups, at relevant public platforms and partnering organisations.

Participate in full-team and project specific capacity buildings and trainings that are offered by the organisation to upgrade skills and knowledge.

Participate in all pan-organisation meetings and annual events.
