About Organisation: ECOPRISM Collective Foundation
EcoPrism Collective Foundation is a nonprofit organization incubated by the alumni of Social Work Students from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi India. Eco Prism has been registered as Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 with the objective to collectively contribute towards building healthy ecosystems that can enhance education advancement, people's livelihood and counteract climate change to stop the collapse of biodiversity.
Vision: To Create an enabling ecosystem based on environmental ethics & sustainable practices to achieve social and economic development for all sections of society and more specifically among Farmer, Women and Adolescents.

Mission: To Build a Community of Practitioners committed to inclusive growth, by protecting and restoring the ecological footprint through environmental education and action for sustainability.

About Programme: Building Climate Smart School and Climate Resilient Village
ECOPRISM works with/enable a set of Eco Change Makers to design and implement integrated programme on the key principles of environment safety, climate protection and sustainability through individual and collective actions. Ecoprism is working with the education personnel’s (Headmaster, Teacher and Student Clubs) and community in selected village and schools of Samastipur district (Bihar) to create green model schools and strengthen eco clubs as well as implementing a comprehensive integrated model to strengthen school community relationships to bring behaviour transformation among key stakeholders.
In order to cope with the change in climate, EcoPrism is implementing a comprehensive integrated model ‘Climate Resilient Village’ (CRV) in Benipur Khurd Village of Haruaha block of Varanasi. The programme aims to promote affordable and replicable adaptation and mitigation practices to enhance livelihood of vulnerable communities and explore alternative farming practices. EcoPrism Collective Foundation works with marginal Farmer’s to adopt climate-smart agricultural practices and production to ensure food security as well as boost their annual income. The Multipurpose Education Environment Centre will engage with the Women SHG group in enhancing their knowledge and skills for economic independence while adopting green livelihood.

Ecoprism Flagship Programmes:
Haritshala (Green School Initiative): Haritshala programme is designed to build Conservation leadership in schools and communities to reconnect learners with nature and our planet. The programme fosters 21st Century skills and equips eco-club students with the analytical ability needed to make responsible, eco-friendly decisions today for a more sustainable tomorrow. Through hands-on nature experiences and critical thinking, students learn to make responsible choices and develop powerful sustainable models for future generations.
Krishishala ( Natural Farming Initiative): Krishisala program is designed to promote self-reliant, chemical-free agriculture. It aims to reduce farmers’ dependence on external inputs, lower cultivation costs, and encourage sustainable use of natural resources. Through this initiative, we strive to build resilient and economically secure farming communities while ensuring environmental sustainability. Farmer’s Club being formed through Krishishala will display climate resilient behaviors and adoption of natural farming practices to ensure sustainable agro-ecosystem conservation, improved health and nutrition, and enhanced household food security.
About the Role
The Programme Officer will work as part of the Ecoprism Collective team. He/she will work with other team members to ensure efficient and effective implementation of projects undertaken by Ecoprism Collective Foundation in Varanasi.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Programme Implementation
• Take responsibility for effective program delivery, review implementation, monitor within the agreed standards at Village, block and district level.
• Develop Programme implementation Framework and programme management by ensuring the consistency of the implementation in program design to meet the programme objectives.
• Lead Climate Resilient Agriculture programme aligned with Paramparagat Kheti (traditional farming) by forming farmer group, establish Bio-Input Resource (BRC) unit for organic resource management, collaboration with experts and technical resource institutions.
• Organise Capacity building programme for farmers, exposure visits and develop ONE STOP CENTRE to support farmers in providing information related to organic and natural farming.
• Guide and Monitor implementation team for the effective delivery of programme outcome and results
• Lead the Monitoring and Review process with implementation team and manage programme operations and logistics.
• Promote adoption of improved agricultural technologies and best practices. Provide technical leadership for Sustainable agriculture and climate smart agriculture.
• Ensure that any incidents of child abuse, child marriage or any other violation of child rights are reported to the program lead

Anchor Market Connect and Partnership management

• Contribute in new programme design development and new proposal development
• Participate in various program events to raise the profile of the organisation at district and state level.
• Establish market connect and forward linkages for the products and services being offered by the farmers.
• Formation of FIGs/FPOs to enable collective input procurement, efficient production and marketing of crops and vegetables, and increased farmer profitability.
• Develop and sustain the relationship with the partner organisation and relevant government departments
• Develop and sustain relationships with the PRI members and Community influencers for the effective delivery of programme
• Lead and participate in various program events to raise the profile of the organisation at district level.
• Coordinate field visits for the Donors and Government functionaries to understand the progress of the program being implement and build new relationships with Government and other agencies with regard to Natural farming

Team Leadership and Management
• Manage the team by ensuring that they are clear on the programme goals and objectives and they are contributing to and on their roles and responsibilities.
• Support and mentor the team as part of their professional development and help them to be highly effective in their work.
• Serve as a role model at all times and ensure that the team works together to share learning and to exchange skills
• Conduct performance reviews, identify capacity building needs and foster teamwork.
• Review team progress on continuous basis, give and complete feedback loop.

Content Development and Capacity Building
• Develop and customize relevant content & support in the conceptualization of framework development including content, design, toolkit, ICT materials and process for the program.
• Synthesize insights from training into meaningful and actionable steps. Bring in field insights into the capacity building and content design and review.
• Guide implementation team to compile training reports received from training and field implementation team and share concise and compelling documents.
• Build capacity of the programme team for effective delivery of program goal and make them understand the content/ curriculum.

Programme Monitoring, Documentation, Budget Management and Reporting
• Support research team to implement monitoring tools as per the project framework
• Engage in documentation and reporting of program activities and consolidation of best practices and case studies
• Provide regular written and verbal insight, reports tracking progress against the work plan and compilation of the Monthly. Quarterly, Half-yearly and Annual reports.
• Support with necessary data to produce documents including case studies, study briefs, impact briefs for use by the team
• Prepare and Manage programme budget, monitor expenditures, maintain all expenditure bill and invoice as per Organizational policies and support financial reporting and audits

Engage in Career Growth and Adherence to System and Process
• Adhere to all the finance and administrative policies of the organization
• Ensure systems and processes are understand and adhered by you and your team
• Identify personal development needs and contribute in achieving personal development goal.
• Participating in team meetings and reviews, staff engagement activities.

Qualification and Experience:

A Graduation/ Master’s degree in Social Work/Rural Management/Agriculture Science or other development disciplines, with 5 years of work experience preferably who have worked in rural development and agriculture sector and engaged with community directly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi
• Have managed teams in the past and build relationships with Government and Partners.
• Ability to draft compelling reports grounded in data
• Ability to train field team and Community members
• Candidate should be flexible, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and an energetic team player
• Flexible with travel and Proficient in MS Office tools, Internet, video editing & social media.
• Is passionate about working to solve challenges and can deal with ambiguity and proactively explore solutions
• Past experience of working with women and aspects of gender and diversity and inclusion is a good to have
