Organic Farm Manager / Estate Manager – 300 Acres

About the Farm
We are a 200-acre organic farm focused on sustainable, chemical free agriculture with a mix of crops and permanent labour staff. We are looking for an experienced manager who can handle day to day operations and long term planning.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and supervise all farm activities: land preparation, sowing, irrigation, weeding, harvesting, storage
• Implement and maintain organic farming practices (no chemicals, proper use of organic inputs, soil health management)
• Manage a team of permanent labourers: work allocation, supervision, attendance, basic training, and discipline
• Prepare seasonal crop plans, crop rotation plans, and input requirements
• Maintain records of farm operations, input usage, yield, and expenses
• Coordinate with suppliers, buyers, consultants, and service providers (machinery, repair, logistics, etc.)
• Monitor farm machinery, irrigation systems, and infrastructure, and arrange timely maintenance
• Ensure compliance with organic certification and other applicable standards (if any)
• Regular reporting to the landowner on progress, issues, and suggestions for improvement
Desired Qualifications
• Diploma / Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related field (preferred but not compulsory for highly experienced candidates)
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in farm management, preferably in organic or natural farming
• Practical knowledge of crop planning, pest and disease management using organic methods
• Ability to lead and manage a team of labourers on a large farm
• Basic record keeping and reporting skills; smartphone literacy preferred
• Willingness to stay on or near the farm and work full time
