Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Head Coach – Para Shooting (Rifle & Pistol) to lead and oversee the high-performance Para Shooting program at Secunderabad.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in Shooting coaching, preferably with Para Shooting, and a proven record of working with elite, National, International or Paralympic-level athletes.
The Head Coach will be responsible for maintaining the quality of training, guiding the coaching team, monitoring athlete development and preparing athletes for National, International, World Shooting Para Sport (WSPS) and Paralympic-level competition.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee the Para Rifle and Pistol high-performance program.
• Monitor training quality, athlete progress and development against high-performance standards.
• Develop and guide athlete-specific training and competition preparation plans.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the coaching team.
• Guide athletes towards National, International, WSPS and Paralympic-level competitions.
• Advise on shooting technique, training methodology, equipment setup and technical correction.
• Support athlete assessment, performance analysis and competition preparation.
• Guide the coaching team on relevant classification requirements and competition standards.
• Conduct periodic athlete and program reviews and recommend improvements.
• Ensure training is aligned with applicable WSPS and international paralympic rules and standards and international paralympic committee

Desired Candidate Profile
• 10+ years of Shooting coaching experience, preferably in Para Rifle and Pistol.
• Proven experience coaching elite, National, International or Paralympic-level athletes.
• Strong knowledge of WSPS rules, classification and competition standards.
• Expertise in 10m, 25m and 50m rifle/pistol shooting disciplines, including relevant Para Shooting disciplines.
• Strong experience in athlete assessment, technical correction, equipment setup and competition preparation.
• Recognized national/international coaching certification preferred.

Competitive Background
Candidates with National or International-level competitive experience will be strongly preferred.
Experience working with athletes participating in events such as the Paralympic Games, World Shooting Para Sport Championships, World Cups, Asian Para Games, Asian Championships, Commonwealth Games or other recognized national/international competitions will be a significant advantage.

Para Shooting Experience-
Candidates should preferably have practical knowledge of:
• Para Rifle and Para Pistol disciplines.
• WSPS rules and competition procedures.
• Para Shooting classification and athlete eligibility requirements.
• Shooting technique and technical correction.
• Equipment setup and optimization.
• Athlete-specific adaptations and requirements.
• Performance analysis and competition preparation.

Leadership & Management
• Lead and mentor the coaching team.
• Establish and maintain high-performance training standards.
• Monitor athlete progression and coaching effectiveness.
• Coordinate with the management and relevant sports/support staff.
• Conduct periodic performance reviews and provide recommendations.
• Support the long-term development of athletes towards international and Paralympic competition.
