Position/Role:Programme Coordinator

About the Role

The Programme Coordinator will provide overall programme coordination, strategic oversight, and technical support for the school sustainability and stewardship programme. This senior role is ideal for a professional with substantial experience in education programmes, academia, school systems, environmental education, sustainability, or development programmes.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate overall programme planning and implementation across the project location.
Provide strategic guidance to District Coordinators and field teams.
Coordinate with senior stakeholders, education institutions, government departments, academic institutions, and programme partners.
Support the development and refinement of educational modules, training materials, and programme methodologies.
Ensure environmental and sustainability concepts translate into age-appropriate and practical learning experiences.
Guide Training of Trainers (ToT) and teacher capacity-building programmes.
Review school engagement plans, field progress, and overall programme quality.
Support the development of monitoring frameworks, baseline/ endline processes, and programme documentation.
Review field data, reports, and implementation challenges to provide necessary course corrections.
Document innovations, success stories, behavioural changes, and replicable models.

Desired Profiles

Education: Postgraduate degree in Education, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Development Studies, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
Experience: Strong preference for candidates with experience in academia, the development sector, teacher training, school-based programmes, or environmental education.
Stakeholder Management: Proven experience managing multi-stakeholder programmes and working with government/ institutional bodies.
Sector Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Indian school education system
Core Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, writing, and coordination skills
Leadership: Ability to mentor and manage multidisciplinary field teams.
Travel: Willingness to travel to project locations when required

Experience : Preferably 8-12+ years

Remuneration : Commensurate with experience
