Applications are invited to eligible interested candidates(Preferably local) for the following posts for Core Composite Targeted Intervention (TI) Project (Supported by West Bengal State AIDS Prevention & Control Society, Dept. of Health & Family Welfare, Govt.of West Bengal)under NACP-V for FSW (Female Sex Workers) + TG (Transgender) key populations in Howrah (Particularly Domjur Ghosh Para Road, Bandhaghat Salkia, Uluberia JT Ghat, Rajgunj Sitalatala, Amta Bandhpara road areas) and South 24 Pargana district (Particularly Natun Bazar Budge Budge areas) of Centre for Total Development (CTD) at Vill-Jigra, P.O. & Rly. Station- Bahirkhand, P.S. - Haripal, Dist-Hooghly, Pin-712405.
1) Counsellor (Preferably Female): -
No. of post: -One (1)
Essential Qualification: -
Graduate degree holder in Psychology/Social Work/Sociology/Anthropology/Human development/Nursing with 3 years of experience in counselling/educating under National Health Programme
OR, Post-Graduate in Psychology/Social Work/Sociology/Anthropology/Human Development/Nursing
OR, if candidate is a person living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV), Graduate degree holder in Psychology/Social Work/Sociology/Anthropology/Human development/Nursing with 1 year of experience in counselling/educating under National Health Programmes.
Desirable: - Experience of working under the National AIDS and STD Control Programme (NACP) facility or community settings.
Knowledge & Skill: -
• The candidate should be computer literate with working knowledge if MS office, usage of internet and electronic mail.
• Familiarity with government health policies and related programmes.
• Ability to work in teams, and flexible ways of working as per the need of programme
Consolidated pay: - Rs.16,000/- per month
2) Monitoring & Evaluation cum Accountant: -
No. of post: -One (1)
Educational Qualification: - Graduation in Mathematics/ Economics/ Statistics/Commerce. Trained in basic computer software applications.
Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of work experience which includes
• Experience in data management, monitoring and evaluations tools, data quality checks, analysis and interpretation of data on program performance.
• Maintaining financial records/accounts.
• Knowledge and experience in health and social development sector will be an added advantage
Knowledge & Skills: -
• Proficient in computer data management and analysis using computer software
• Familiarity with government health policies and programmes strong communication skills
• Ability to work in small teams, and flexible ways of workings
Key functions to perform: -
The Monitoring and Evaluation cum Accountant will be responsible for managing all program, physical and financial data. Update of information on daily basis, computerization of outreach and project level data and consistency and quality checks of data, conduct data analysis and prepare monthly reports for review and reporting to SACS.
Consolidated pay: - Rs.16,000/- per month
3) Outreach Workers (ORW): -
No. of post: - Three (3)
(Two ORW for FSW key populations for Howrah &South 24 Parganas district and One ORW for TG key populations for Howrah district)
Essential Qualification: -
• Should be at least educated up to 8th standard with good knowledge of the local community and local language.
• ORWs should preferably be form the community of FSW& TG key populations
Knowledge & skills: -
• Should have strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in small teams, and flexible ways of working.
• Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, case study compilation.
• At least 20 days in the field visit required.
• Capacity to monitor report and guide the team under him/her.
Key Functions to perform: -
The ORW will be responsible for overall planning of service delivery at the field for behaviour change or service uptake. With Peer Educators and ORW has to plan, Counselling sessions by counsellor, clinic services by visiting physician or preferred providers, advocacy and networking with stakeholders. Supporting the peer educators and facilitating their work for efficient and effective coverage of HRGs. Maintenance of records of the outreach team and report to the project. Rapport building with the target population and mobilize them for various services. Work with M&E assistant for data recording. Ensure field training of Pes.
Consolidated pay: - Rs.10,500/- per month
Note: - 1) All the posts are purely contractual basis.
2) Travelling allowances will be provided for the particular project work on actual basis within the approved budgetary limit of the particular post.
