Special Educator – Job Profile in CCI
Assess the educational and developmental needs of children with special needs.
Prepare Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) according to each child's needs.
Provide special education, remedial teaching, and learning support.
Support children with learning difficulties, developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, autism, etc.
Conduct individual and group educational activities.
Help children improve communication, social, cognitive, and functional skills.
Coordinate with the Child Welfare Officer, counsellor, case worker, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals.
Maintain individual records, assessment reports, progress reports, and educational documentation.
Monitor and document each child's progress regularly.
Assist children in developing daily living and independent-living skills.
Use appropriate teaching-learning materials and child-friendly methods.
Coordinate with schools and educational institutions regarding children's educational needs.
Participate in Individual Care Plan (ICP) preparation and review.
Provide guidance to caregivers on appropriate educational support.
Refer children for specialist assessment or intervention when required.
Ensure a safe, inclusive, respectful, and child-friendly learning environment.
Participate in CCI activities, meetings, training programmes, and case conferences.
