Position Summary:
The Senior Co-worker/Co-Worker Education acts as a critical support system for SOS Mothers, ensuring the holistic development and education of children and young people. As a dependable resource, strengthens family functioning, fosters child development, supports educational advancement, promotes reintegration where applicable, and collaborates on community and statutory compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Child Development and Educational Support:
• Provide regular counseling and purposeful interaction with children.
• Lead Child Development Planning (CDP) with children and mothers; ensure timely follow-up and updates.
• Support SOS Mothers in healthcare management, career guidance, behavioral shaping, and academic planning for children.
• Organize expert interventions as required for educational or psychological needs.
• Assist in organizing school materials – uniforms, books, stationery – and ensure readiness at academic year start.
• Monitor academic progress, and ensure 100% adherence to timelines and standards of children's individual education plans.
Family Development and Home Management:
• Mentor SOS Mothers on managing family budgets efficiently.
•Assist with family documentation, including timely maintenance of children's files and progress reports.
• Promote a learning-focused home environment and encourage children’s participation in family and community life.
Community Engagement and Activities:
• Organize leisure, cultural, educational, and developmental activities for children individually and in groups.
• Foster integration with the local neighborhood through organized activities.
• Strengthen community safety, child safeguarding, and cultural engagement.
Child Admission and Reintegration:
• Support admission processes by conducting home studies and background assessments.
• Collaborate with CWC and Village Director for regulatory compliance during admissions.
• Facilitate children's reintegration with biological families where appropriate, maintaining the child's best interests.
• Assist in the settlement and employment linkage of young people transitioning out of care.
• Support marital arrangements where appropriate, ensuring due diligence and compliance.
External Collaboration and Compliance:
• Support Village Director in statutory compliance, licensing, and visitor management.
• Help build the external image of the organization through meaningful engagement with visitors, sponsors, and government authorities.
Child and Youth Safeguarding:
The incumbent must commit to the organization's Child and Youth Safeguarding Policy and ensure its implementation in all aspects and activities
• Conduct regular Child and Youth Safeguarding orientation for children, mothers, and staff.
• Monitor child safeguarding compliance rigorously, update incident records, and ensure prompt reporting.
• Lead initiatives on cyber safety, road safety, and protection education.

Educational & Professional Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Organizational Development, Training, or Business Administration.
• 4-6 years of relevant experience working with children, youth, family strengthening, education management, or community development projects.
• Fluency in English and Hindi is mandatory. Knowledge of one or more regional languages will be an added advantage.
• Outstanding communication, counseling, presentation, child protection knowledge, community engagement, and documentation skills.
