Language and Learning Foundation (LLF) is a New Delhi-based non-profit organisation working to improve equitable student learning, with a particular focus on language, literacy and foundational learning. We work closely with national and state governments through professional development of teachers and teacher educators, implementation of large-scale programmes, and building and sharing knowledge.
LLF is a system-focused and impact-driven organisation dedicated to addressing the foundational learning crisis in India. Over the past eight years, LLF has contributed to improving foundational learning outcomes for 850,000+ children and classroom processes of 2,50,000+ teachers and teacher educators across eight states. Today, LLF works in partnership with eight state governments across the country.

As part of the next phase of our work in Bihar, LLF is expanding its field presence across Buxar and Khagaria. We are strengthening our district and block-level teams and are looking for passionate and capable professionals with relevant experience in Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), academic support, teacher development, programme implementation, data and programme coordination. The proposed team structure comprises 1 DPM, 4 DACs, 16 BACs and 1 Program Associate in Buxar, and 1 DPM, 4 DACs, 13 BACs and 1 Program Associate in Khagaria. The number of positions and locations are subject to programme requirements and may be revised as the recruitment process progresses.
Who should apply?
We are looking for candidates who combine relevant qualifications, demonstrated experience and the skills required to contribute effectively to large-scale education programmes. Candidates with experience in Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), education programmes, teacher development, academic support, curriculum development, government partnerships, programme management or programme coordination will be considered, depending on the requirements of the position.
District Program Manager: The DPM will lead district-level programme implementation, planning, monitoring, stakeholder engagement and team management. The role requires experience in project management and working with district education administration, along with strong stakeholder management, communication, planning and analytical skills.
District Academic Coordinator: The DAC will lead academic implementation and school monitoring, support capacity building of field teams, work closely with government stakeholders, and use programme and assessment data to strengthen implementation.
Block Academic Coordinator: The BAC will support implementation of FLN activities at the block and school levels, conduct regular school visits, provide academic support to teachers and work with government and academic resource persons to strengthen classroom practices. The role involves extensive field travel and regular school monitoring.
Program Associate: The Program Associate will support district-level financial management, programme coordination, reporting, logistics and administrative processes, working closely with the District Program Manager, accounts team and state-level stakeholders.
