Position - Senior Manager Human Resources (Full time)
Location Based in Bengaluru with travel across program locations PAN India
Purpose of the job
To build and lead the HR function for Dhwani Foundation, drive Learning & Development, Training, Recruitment and PAN India HR Operations, in order to build organisational capability, strengthen culture and support Dhwani's growth from a team of about 70 people today to approximately 200 people over the next five years.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the HR function, building HR structures, systems and policies appropriate for a growing social sector organisation
- Design and drive the organisation's Learning & Development strategy, including onboarding into the organisation & the programs / state teams, functional skill-building and leadership development programs for staff across locations
- Lead end-to-end Recruitment for Dhwani, including workforce planning, sourcing strategy, and building a scalable hiring pipeline to support growth from ~70 to ~200 employees over 5 years
- Manage PAN India HR Operations, including payroll inputs, statutory compliance, attendance and leave management,
- HR documentation and employee records across all program locations
- Develop annual HR plans and budgets prior to the beginning of the financial year, in consultation with the Leadership Team
- Build and implement a performance management framework, including goal setting, periodic reviews and appraisal processes
- Design and administer compensation & benefits structures, including salary benchmarking, increments and employee insurance, appropriate for a nonprofit/social sector budget
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to strengthen culture, retention and a sense of purpose aligned with Dhwani's mission
- Ensure adherence to all statutory and labour law requirements applicable across the states Dhwani operates in
- Put in place HR policies, employee handbook and grievance redressal mechanisms, and ensure consistent application across all locations
- Partner with program and functional heads to anticipate people needs as the organisation scales over the next five years

- Ensure weekly and monthly HR reviews are in place for smooth functioning of the function
- Be a part of the management team and ensure smooth running of the organisation
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong leadership skills
- Demonstrable track record of building or scaling HR functions, ideally in a growing organisation
- Strong experience in Learning & Development and Training program design and delivery
- Proven experience managing end-to-end Recruitment, from workforce planning through to onboarding
- Sound working knowledge of PAN India HR Operations, statutory compliance and labour law
- Experience developing and implementing HR strategy, policies and business plans aligned to organisational goals
- Proven ability to build, manage and develop relationships with employees, leadership and external stakeholders
- Track record of bringing innovative, creative thinking and fresh ideas to organisation-building
- Effective dissemination of information to large and diverse groups across locations
- Exceptionally convincing and persuasive written and oral skills, with the ability to present and convey complex ideas clearly and coherently

Experience
- At least 15 years overall HR experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar HR leadership role, preferably with exposure to the social/development sector
Salary : Commensurate with experience
