1. Background and Context
About Youngistaan Foundation
Youngistaan Foundation (Youngistaan) is a grassroots not-for-profit organisation working alongside children, adolescents and families in underserved urban communities. Its programmes span education, gender and health, livelihoods, climate action, youth development, social welfare entitlements and community development.

About the Programme
The first 1,000 days of life are critical to a child’s health, growth and brain development. However, many children aged seven months to three years from low-income working families lack access to adequate nutrition, healthcare and responsive care. The limited availability of public creches further widens this gap.

To address this need, Youngistaan is establishing community-based creches across urban communities in Hyderabad. These creches will provide safe, nurturing spaces close to home, where children receive nutritious meals, engage in age-appropriate play and early learning activities, and benefit from care provided by trained caregivers from their own communities. Regular growth monitoring will help identify early signs of malnutrition and facilitate timely referrals to health services.

Youngistaan is seeking a dedicated field team to support the establishment and day-to-day functioning of these creches in close collaboration with communities, ensuring quality childcare and a nurturing environment for every child.

2. Job Description:
The MIS Coordinator provides all technical and digital support to the team. The intervention uses the Shishu Ghar mobile and web application to collect and use daily field data. The MIS Coordinator first needs to understand the application, its functions and modules, types of data entered, and the various reports that can be used at various stages of the operations.

3. Roles and Responsibilities
Pre-Setup and Set-up Phases
• Develop a thorough understanding of the application and its modules.
• Orient, hand-hold and support team members on each phase's modules as needed, including joining field visits during line listing.
• Orient team members on the data collected and how to use it for planning.

Operational Phase
• Orient and hand-hold the team on check-ins, enrolment and attendance in the app.
• Demonstrate growth measurement data entry and its required frequency.
• Analyse data regularly, and share and discuss trends and gaps with the team.
• Identify children for case studies, visit centres, collect information and prepare case studies and success stories.
• Contribute insights and findings to review meetings, and visit the field to validate data.
• Keep building knowledge of the app's modules and run regular orientations for the team.

4. Qualifications and Experience
• Graduate, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Applications or Engineering, with a working knowledge of software applications including MS Excel.
• About 3 years of experience in handling MIS.
• Basic understanding of data management and analytics.
• Preferably from Hyderabad or the local area, with proficiency in Telugu.
