Recruitment for Sputum Collection & Transportation Services
We invite applications from motivated, responsible, and dedicated candidates for the implementation of sputum collection and transportation services under the Cough Against TB (CATB) Initiative.
The project aims to facilitate the safe and timely transportation of sputum samples from designated Sub-Centres (Ayushman Aarogya Mandir – AAM) to TB Diagnostic Centres (DMCs/PHIs), supporting timely diagnosis and effective tuberculosis (TB) control.

• Bakani Block Jhalawar, Rajasthan
• Mathani Block Kurukshetra, Haryana
Total vacancies: 5 — 2 Project Manager and 4 Runners across the two districts.

1. Project Manager (PM)
Educational Qualification: Postgraduate
Vacancies: 2, 1
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor sputum collection and transportation operations.
• Coordinate with healthcare facilities, district health authorities, and the project implementation team.
• Ensure regular deployment and availability of Runners.
• Monitor scheduled sample pickups and timely delivery to designated TB Diagnostic Centres.
• Ensure compliance with sample-handling, biosafety, and infection prevention practices.
• Maintain operational records, pickup and delivery logs, and laboratory acknowledgements.
• Prepare periodic progress reports and monitor service quality.
• Identify operational challenges and ensure timely escalation and resolution.

2. Runner / Sputum Transportation Rider
Educational Qualification: Graduate
Vacancies: 2 per district
• Jhalawar, Rajasthan: 2
• Kurukshetra, Haryana: 2
Mandatory Requirements
• Must own a two-wheeler.
• Must possess a valid driving licence and ensure that all vehicle documents are valid and up to date.
• Must be willing to travel between designated health facilities and TB Diagnostic Centres.
• Must be responsible, punctual, and able to maintain accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
• Collect sputum samples from designated Sub-Centres according to the approved schedule.
• Coordinate with healthcare staff during sample handover.
• Transport samples safely and promptly to designated TB Diagnostic Centres.
• Follow prescribed biosafety and infection prevention practices.
• Maintain pickup, delivery, and sample-tracking records.
• Obtain laboratory acknowledgements as required.
• Report delays, incidents, and operational issues promptly to the Project Manager.
Employment Details
• Project Duration: Approximately 7 months, subject to the approved contract and operational requirements.
• Working Schedule: 6 days per week, according to the approved collection schedule.
• Salary / Monthly Remuneration: Will be communicated to the selected candidate based on their experience.
