About the Program:
VAANI Deaf Children’s Foundation works to support deaf and hard-of-hearing children and young people across the lifecycle through education, skill development and continued support. The Academy builds practical digital, computer and vocational skills that help students participate more confidently in further education, employment and everyday life. Training should be accessible, visual, hands-on and responsive to learners’ communication preferences, with Indian Sign Language (ISL) integrated wherever appropriate. Beyond academics, the program aims to empower students to become role models and agents of change within their communities.
Role Purpose
The Senior Computer Trainer will lead and deliver practical computer, Commerce and Accountancy software training for deaf and hard-of-hearing students. The role includes developing accessible lesson plans, building learners’ confidence through guided practice, assessing competency, maintaining learning records, and supporting the quality and consistency of training across the Academy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement engaging curricula in IT, Design and STEM aligned with industry standards and student needs.
2. Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate a variety of instructional strategies to promote active participation and critical thinking.
3. Focus on practical, employment-oriented skills rather than basic computer literacy alone.
4. Deliver effective technical skills instruction using diverse teaching methods,
5. Utilise a variety of assessment tools and techniques to measure student understanding and progress, providing timely feedback to support growth and achievement.
6. Develop a positive environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported in their learning journey.
7. Utilise technology to enhance learning experiences.
8. Establish a positive and structured classroom environment for effective language acquisition.
9. Maintain accurate records of academic performance, attendance and other relevant data.
10. Generate and analyse reports to assess the effectiveness of academic programs.
11. Conduct AI-based and digital skills training sessions to equip students with emerging technology competencies relevant to future careers.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: 4.5 to 6 lacs per annum
Academics: BSc in Computer Science, MSc in Computer Science
Experience: 3-5 years and above of teaching experience

8. Proficiency in English is essential; working knowledge of Indian Sign Language (ISL) is an added advantage/ willingness to undergo training is essential (Training provided)
