Role Description

The Program Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, supporting the effective planning and implementation of Samarpan Foundation including the Injustice of Justice Project (IJOJ).

POSITION: Program Assistant
LOCATION: Delhi

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Outreach and Engagement:

Conduct outreach activities to raise awareness of the program and its services.
Regular field visits in different communities upon coordination with the jail superintendents.
Identify and engage eligible families and children in the program.
Build rapport and trust with the families of the incarcerated individuals.

Beneficiary Screening and Intake:

Conduct initial assessments and screenings to determine the eligibility of the families.
Assist in the completion of intake forms and documentations for the enrolment in the program.
Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity while working with the families of incarcerated individuals.
Regular follow-ups and home visits to identify their current situation and the progress.
Identifying the impact of the program and analyzing the challenges.

Administrative Support:

Assist in the coordination of program activities, including scheduling appointments, arranging transportation, and preparing materials.
Maintain accurate records of client information, program attendance, and outcomes.
Provide general administrative support to program staff, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in social work or other social sciences related field.
Previous experience in community outreach, social services, or related fields.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of community resources and support services for families and children.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management software.

REPORTING

The program assistant will report to the Program Coordinator and Program Manager of Samarpan Foundation.

SALARY RANGE
3,00,000 - 3,60,000
