We're Hiring: NGO Project & Operations Coordinator

Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India
Contract: 12 months (potential for extension)
Experience: 1–2 years
Salary: 15,000–18,000 per month
Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Organisation

We are establishing a small NGO focused on supporting elderly people in need and improving their quality of life.

As the founder is currently located overseas, we are looking for a reliable, proactive and organised individual to help establish the organisation from the ground up and coordinate its initial operations.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the community while gaining valuable experience in the NGO sector.

Key Responsibilities:

NGO Establishment & Administration

Assist with NGO registration, documentation and general administration.

Coordinate the opening of bank accounts and basic financial administration.

Liaise with government departments, accountants, legal advisers and other service providers.

Assist with regulatory approvals and compliance requirements.

Research and identify suitable premises in Chennai.

Coordinate property inspections, lease arrangements and premises setup.

Organise suppliers, equipment, utilities and other logistical requirements.

Identify potential community partners, volunteers and elderly support services.

Provide regular progress updates to the founders.
