Launching the YouthPOWER Fellowship

A six-month, part-time, field-based district fellowship for young graduates who want to work at the intersection of youth leadership, governance, and public problem-solving.

For most young Indians, opportunity is shaped in the district — where they study, look for work, and access public services. Yet we have almost no systematic picture of what exists on the ground across districts, where the gaps are, and what can be improved.

This fellowship is designed to change that — by training a cohort of young people to document youth opportunity infrastructure across 224 districts in 5 states.

What fellows will do:
- Visit and document schools, ITIs, libraries, employment offices, and other public institutions
- Map youth opportunity using structured checklists and evidence templates
- Conduct field interviews on education-to-work transitions and access to public support

What fellows will get:
- Rs 25,000 stipend
- Training and certificate from Future of India Foundation
- Top performers: Delhi visit with Parliament tour and MP meetings
- Top performers: considered for permanent roles

Eligibility: Graduates aged 22-29, residing in non-metro districts in UP, MP, Rajasthan, Bihar, or Haryana.
Part-time: 5-10 hours/week. Hindi required.

Preference for: women applicants, first-generation graduates, marginalised communities.
