Role Overview :
The Lead – MEL will establish and scale EquiBeing’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning function. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our programmes—spanning education, sports, livelihoods, and advocacy—are evidence-driven, outcome-focused, and continuously improving. The Lead will design frameworks, build systems, and foster a culture of learning across the organization, enabling us to measure impact rigorously and communicate it effectively to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Framework Development
• Design and implement MEL frameworks aligned with EquiBeing’s programmes and strategy
• Develop logframes, theories of change, and outcome measurement tools for each programme pillar.
Systems & Processes
• Establish data collection, management, and reporting systems across the programmes
• Implement digital tools and adaptive technologies for accessible data capture and analysis.
Evaluation & Research
• Lead baseline, midline, and endline studies for key programmes (e.g., Holistic Education Initiative, EquiFloat, Livelihood pilots).
• Commission and manage external evaluations and research partnerships.
Capacity Building & Knowledge Management
• Train programme staff, facilitators, and partners in MEL practices.
• Build organizational capacity for evidence-based decision-making and adaptive learning.
• Translate data into actionable insights for programme refinement.
• Document and disseminate learnings internally and externally to influence policy and practice.
• Provide impact reports and dashboards for donors, partners, and government stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Education, Development Studies, Public Policy, or related fields.
• 8–10 years of experience in Monitoring & Evaluation, preferably in education, disability inclusion, or social impact sectors.
• Proven expertise in designing MEL frameworks, logframes, and outcome measurement tools.
• Strong skills in quantitative and qualitative research methods, data analysis, and visualization.
• Experience with digital MEL platforms and accessible technologies is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills—able to translate complex data into compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
