Harsha Trust, with grant support from SBI Foundation, is implementing the 'SBIF LEAP: Climate Smart Livelihoods' project. This ambitious 3-year initiative aims to strengthen the climate resilience and livelihoods of 3,500 households across 70 villages in Kandhamal district covering 3 blocks. The project integrates climate-smart agriculture (CSA), renewable energy (solar), water security (INRM), agroforestry (WADI), and rural enterprise development to create a sustainable and impactful model for tribal communities.
Executive – Finance & Accounts
.Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Financial Management
- Maintain separate books of accounts for the project.
- Maintain and monitor the project bank account.
- Ensure proper maintenance of registers like Attendance Register, Monthly Meeting Registers, Movement Register, Vehicle logbook, Inventory register, assets Register, PR-PO Tracking Register, and Agreement Register etc.
- Ensure timely voucher verification and documentation.
2. Budget Monitoring & Financial Planning
- Track budget vs expenditure against project components, as per organizational guidelines
- Prepare monthly financial reports for the Team Leader and Programme Head.
- Support district team in budget planning and financial forecasting.
3. Fund Requisition & Utilization
- Fund requisition statements
- Statement of Expenditure (SoE)
- Utilization Certificates (GUC format)
- Monitor tranche utilization and donor fund schedules.
4. Compliance & Procurement Monitoring
- Ensure adherence to procurement guidelines and vendor selection procedures.
- Maintain asset register for project assets such as: Solar irrigation systems
- BRC infrastructure, Equipment and demonstration assets.
- Ensure compliance with donor guidelines and organizational financial policies.
5. Audit & Documentation
- Facilitate internal and statutory audits.
- Maintain all financial records and supporting documents for donor verification.
- Support preparation of annual audited financial statements.
- Timely submission of documents with supporting to HO for books of expenditure
- Maintaining beneficiaries details in excel sheet with proper approval.
Any other tasks as may be assigned by the organization from time to time.
Qualification & Experience
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance). 16 years of on-campus academic career
- Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in NGO / CSR project accounting.
- Experience managing donor-funded projects preferred.
- Working knowledge of Tally/ERP, Excel, and financial reporting tools.
Compensation - 35,000 INR CTC per month approx.
