Role Overview as a Thematic Officer - Gender, you will drive impactful initiatives focused on empowering women in water governance and management, fostering gender inclusivity, and building capacity among stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Task & Responsibilities
? Generating awareness and understanding of key stakeholders to provide an enabling environment for women's participation in water governance and management.
? Training Government officials, Frontline functionaries, PRI representatives, and SHG leaders on gender mainstreaming.
? Conducting orientations for local leaders on gender-responsive budgeting and organizing gender-sensitive audits in panchayats.
? Leading seminars for elected Women representatives and capacity building of women associations.
? Microplanning, ToT workshops for different planning processes like VPRP-GPDP, INRM planning, etc.
? Organizing workshops to improve the skills of female 'water volunteers.'
? Coordinating with relevant government departments, PRIs, and key functionaries.
? Preparation and dissemination of information and awareness materials.
? Preparing reports for relevant agencies as well as for internal review.
? To support the District Volunteers for planning, implementation and evaluation of project activities at the field level.
? Supervise the District Volunteers on regular basis for smoothly operation of the project.
? Visit the target Stakeholders /Jal sakhis, Women groups regularly.
? Generate new and innovative ideas for effective implementation of project activities. Draw annual implementation plans for the area with the help of District Volunteers and submit to the Project Coordinator.
? Lead the District volunteer for planning and implementation of activities as per project designed.
? Facilitate meeting, discussion, training session, technical support, and guidance to the target group as well as staff.
? Effective communication and coordination with District Volunteers & Project coordinator for smooth operation and implementation of project activities.
? Monitor the field activities and provide guideline towards the district volunteers for self-performance.
? Maintain process documentation of the project activities.
? Prepare and submit periodical reports to the Project Coordinator.
? Prepare case stories and other detailed study’s as when required and/or instructed.
? To prepare record and documents and preserve it as per project needs and share with the stakeholders.
To organize district or State level workshops for dissemination of the results achieved
Qualifications & Skills Required
•Postgraduate degree in Social Science, Agriculture, or Rural Development.
•Minimum of years of experience in WASH/Water Management/Local Governance/Gender development.
•Proficiency in micro-planning and capacity-building techniques. •Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills. •Valid driving license and access to a two-wheeler (preferred).
Remuneration
•34,000 per month.
