The initiative:
Prayatn Sanstha is implementing integrated development projects in multiple states including Odisha and Rajasthan. In these projects we are working with the community on different dimensions of social issues through Natural Resource Management, Soil and Water Conservation and Sustainable Agriculture Development, Health and Hygiene through Anganwadi strengthening, Eco Tourism and other Income generating activities with the poor and marginalized communities through Self Help Groups. In all the initiatives the organization is closely working with the community, organize them, form their institutions and prepare them to address issues at their level through community based systems and mechanisms.
Positions Overview:
This is a field-based position wherein the Project Officer will be working closely with the project team comprising of Thematic Experts (Social Development, Natural Resource Management, Sustainable Agriculture Development), MIS Person and community organizers. The position of Project Officer is responsible for overall execution of all the activities planned under the project. The activities comprising of community institutions formation and strengthening, training and capacity building of different stakeholders including farmers, execution of soil and water conservation activities, Community infrastructure Development, Sustainable agriculture development activities, Development of Eco Tourism Village and other income generation activities. The position requires intense field visits (18-20 days a month) to monitor and support the field activities with the involvement of the team members and provide necessary support in execution of the project activities.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Preparing different types of plans (Yearly, quarterly and monthly action plan, event task plan, milestone based planning etc.) as per organizational requirement for smooth and effective implementation of project activities;
• Facilitate effective execution of the planned activities as per the plan of action;
• Develop project concept notes and activity concept note to guide team members;
• Regular monitoring and review of the progress of the project and intervene as per need;
• Provide onsite support to the team members during the implementation;
• Identify training needs of the project team members;
• Coordination within the team and with other institutions working on similar lines;
• Development of learning programs for the team working in field level;
• Identify learning opportunities and document it;
• Report preparation and documentation;
Requirement:
Candidate should have a Master’s degree in Social Work / Rural Development / Business Administration / Agriculture / Agri Engineering / from a recognized university. The candidate should have minimum 10 years of working experience with community on integrated development with special focus on livelihood Development, soil and water conservation and sustainable agriculture development initiatives with specific involvement into social mobilization, designing and conducting capacity-building programs for the rural communities and implementation of agriculture and watershed development activities.

• Hands on experience of community mobilization, capacity Building and Program Implementation
Nature of Employment:
The selected candidate/s will have the opportunity to get associated with the organization for a period of two years. This association may extend depending on the satisfactory performance and availability of resources and continuity of the projects.
Compensation Offered:
As per organisation norms
Location: Baran District in Rajasthan, Hazaribagh district in Jharkhand and Khordha District in Odisha.
Time to Join:
