MelJol is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that works to empower children and youth through life skills, social awareness, and financial education programs in schools and communities. The organisation helps young people build confidence, leadership, and a sense of responsible citizenship.
MelJol works with children and youth from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, particularly in government and community schools. Through participatory and activity-based learning methods, it builds life skills, social awareness, and financial literacy among young people.
By meaningfully engaging children, youth, and communities, MelJol seeks to address issues related to urban and rural poverty. Its programs aim to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to make informed decisions, understand social and financial equity, and contribute to building more inclusive and resilient communities.
Job Summary
The Facilitator will be responsible for implementing MelJol’s programs at the school and community level, engaging children, youth, parents and stakeholders through participatory and activity-based approaches. The role involves conducting sessions, managing program activities at assigned centres, maintaining documentation, and ensuring quality implementation of programs in alignment with organisational standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement program activities in assigned schools and communities in line with project plans.
• Mobiliise children, youth, parents, and community members to participate in program activities.
• Plan and conduct sessions, trainings, and group activities using participatory and activity-based methods.
• Build and maintain relationships with schools, community members, and key stakeholders including SMCs and local authorities.
• Organise meetings, events, campaigns and community engagement activities as part of program implementation.
• Manage day-to-day operations and ensure smooth functioning of the assigned centre (ARC).
• Maintain accurate records of sessions, attendance, and program data, and submit reports as required.
• Ensure quality implementation of programs and adherence to MelJol’s processes and standards.
• Support training activities and organisational initiatives as required.
• Coordinate with Cluster Coordinator/Project Manager for program planning, reporting, and administrative matters.
• Support donor visits and related activities in coordination with the program team.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of organisational resources and assets at the centre.
Qualifications & Experience
• Graduate in any discipline (Education, Social Work or related field preferred).
• 0–3 years of experience in community work, facilitation, or program implementation
• Freshers with strong interest in working with children and communities may also apply.

Salary: 2,16,000 to 2,76,000 P.A
