The following role contributes to this effort by supporting community screening, diagnostics, coordination, monitoring, and linkage to TB treatment under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP).
Role Summary: Radiographer
• Get trained in SOPs & Protocol of Community-based screening of tribal population in India under NTEP and under this project
• Organize radiology in villages / hamlets (or camp sites) and operate ultra-portable digital X-ray equipment during field screening by door to door and camps in remote tribal locations.
• Explain each participant the procedure in local language before taking chest X-Ray and seek consent, ensure correct positioning, safety protocols and image quality during chest X-ray imaging.
• Ensure that all digital images are stored in PACS, subjected to Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool for automated reading for screening results, and flag the presumptive TB
• Coordinate with laboratory technician and field team to identify presumptive TB cases and also refer individuals with other abnormalities to general health system
• Maintain radiation safety standards and proper usage of protective equipment.
• Ensure safe transportation, setup and functioning of X-ray equipment during camps.
• Upload and document X-ray images in the digital reporting platform for AI reading and review.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
Qualification and experience requirements will vary by state hiring norms but should align with relevant public health, clinical or community health backgrounds. Indicative payout ranges should follow market benchmarks for public health programs operating in remote geographies.
Role Summary: Laboratory Technician
• Get trained in SOPs & Protocol of Community-based screening of tribal population in India under NTEP and under this project (including sample collection and transportation to other laboratories for other testing purposes)
• Demonstrate proficiency in performing molecular TB diagnostic testing using TruNAT systems or any other technologies introduced under the project
• Conduct sputum collection and perform molecular TB diagnostic testing using TruNAT systems from eligible individuals.
• Ensure proper sample labeling, handling and bio-medical waste disposal as per protocols.
• Maintain diagnostic equipment calibration and testing quality standards.
• Coordinate with radiographer and mobilizers for identifying eligible individuals for testing.
• Coordinate with C&DST laboratory as well as TB Genomics laboratory for proper sample collection and transportation from eligible individuals as per SOPs
• Maintain daily diagnostic records and ensure accurate reporting in digital platforms for each test and ensure reflex testing as and when needed.
• Ensure that the results of all the tests done on-site and remotely under the project are informed to local health facility, TB Unit, and DTO for necessary action
• Support referral and linkage of diagnosed TB cases to government treatment facilities.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience

Qualifications: Diploma / BSc in Radiography with valid certification.
Experience: 1-3 years in diagnostic imaging or field health, DMLT / BMLT / BSc MLT/ BSc Microbiology/ BSc Biotechnology from recognized institute.
