About the Program
The Financial and Digital Literacy Program is designed to support Banjara women living in rural areas of Rajasthan, who often have limited access to formal education, banking services, and digital technologies. Many women in these communities rely on informal financial systems and may have limited exposure to mobile-based services such as digital payments or online banking.
Through this program, the Banjara Education Center aims to build women’s confidence and practical skills in using digital tools and understanding basic financial services. The training will focus on everyday financial practices such as savings, safe digital transactions, accessing government schemes, and using mobile phones for payments and information. The program also seeks to create a supportive learning environment where women can ask questions, practice using technology, and share their experiences.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct training sessions for women on basic financial and digital literacy.
- Deliver training on topics including bank accounts and savings, digital payments (UPI), safe digital practices, and accessing government schemes.
- Facilitate hands-on learning sessions using mobile phones and simple digital tools.
- This is a field-based role, requiring regular engagement with participants at the Banjara Education Center and nearby communities.
- Maintain records of training sessions, attendance, and participant progress.
- Document training sessions and capture case stories and participant experiences from the field.
- Support community outreach and mobilization in coordination with local leaders and women’s groups to encourage participation.
- Coordinate with the program team and community members to ensure smooth implementation of sessions.
- Share feedback and observations from the field to strengthen the program.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Graduate in social work, education, development studies, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience in community engagement, training, or working with women’s groups will be preferred.
- Basic understanding of digital tools and financial services such as UPI and mobile banking.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Hindi and the local language.
- Comfortable working in rural communities and with first-time learners.
