ROLE DESCRIPTION:
• To participate in the implementation of and can initiate research by writing research proposals, ongoing research programs which includes study protocol development, study tool development, training research staff, data collection, quality assurance, and monitoring of staff.
• Responsible for efficiency of data collection and analysis process; and strengthening data use to improve service quality and decision-making.
• Ensure application technology for development of robust M&E framework and Management Information System using various tools.
• Oversee the analysis of data to provide evidence-based insights to the project for efficient programming and results.
• Any other responsibility as relevant to project implementation assigned by immediate supervisor.
• Disseminate findings of research and other projects through presentations and publications
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Pediatric Cancer Research Institute (PCRI):
The vison and mission of PCRI is to promote, support and undertake research in CanKids with a view to providing quality of care; evaluating service and assessing impact and conducting studies and encouraging research, both in-house and in the pediatric oncology community at large.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PCRI Department Management:
· Prepare and manage budgets for the department and projects.
· Manage all team members in the department and projects. Ensure recruitment and retention of quality staff.
· Actively engage with PCRI Advisory committee, decision makers and Board members to understand research and impact needs.
· Actively engage with other department of CanKids…KidsCan for interdepartmental coordination
· To build a dept. and its staff capacity to conduct multiple research projects.
· Training and orientation of new joined for PCRI and research methodology.
General Research Project Management Develop and plan PCRI studies, projects.
· Providing technical expertise in the development, analysis and dissemination of information related to research Studies.
· Developing and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for the department and individual projects.
· Creating tools, processes, and systems to drive improvements and streamline the Department and department projects (Setting up ethics committee and creating and maintenance of project dashboard) monitoring and reporting of research.
· Provide support for Pan India activities and participate in regional and/ or national level meetings or scientific conferences to disseminate research work.
· Coordinate with other departments to submit abstracts and presentations to various national/international conferences. Provide technical support for publication and peer review of research papers. maintaining documents related to PCRI .
Specific Research Project Management:
· Responsible for managing and executing research projects (Access India, CVC study, RT mapping study, CHSU evaluation) to generate research data to have evidence-based planning to achieve global outcome of survival.
