Location: Baxawar Block, Chhatarpur District, MP.
Number of Positions: One
Reports To: Project Manager
Nature of Employment: This is a project-specific position offered as a full-time contract with benefits. Renewal is possible, depending on project extension and availability of funds.
1.ORGANISATION BACKGROUND:
Bharat Rural Livelihoods Foundation (www.brlf.in) is an autonomous body established in 2013 under the Ministry of Rural Development through a Union Cabinet decision by the Government of India. With a vision to transform the lives and livelihoods of the most vulnerable populations across India, BRLF plays a crucial role in fostering and facilitating civil society action in partnership with the government and people’s institutions. Its mandate encompasses a range of objectives, including bridging the gap between program outlays and outcomes, improving implementation of government flagship programs, providing grant support to civil society organisations (CSOs), and promoting partnerships for inclusive, sustainable development. BRLF has a pan-India mandate and focuses on tribal geographies, particularly those in the Central Indian tribal belt and Northeast India. The focus has been on the states with the most concentration of tribal population which are Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Mizoram.

About the project:
The Project SAARTHI is to foster the Integrated Natural Resource Management and Livelihood development for socio-economic development of tribal populations by transitioning them from subsistence farming to sustainable, commercial agro-ecological production in 16 villages at Baxawah Block, Chhatarpur District, MP.
2. Role Description:
The NRM Expert, coordination, and integration of livelihood interventions with a strong emphasis on agriculture-based solutions. The role aims to strengthen the resilience, food security, and economic well-being of target communities by promoting sustainable, climate-smart, and market-oriented agricultural practices alongside other livelihood strategies.
3.Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Capacity Building and supporting the team in the implementation of the NRM activity in the Ridge to Valley approach.
- Working with the Project team to maintain and develop the GIS mapping and reporting on NRM aspect of the of the project.
- Facilitating and leading to the preparation of DPR, including technical design and estimates of NRM structures with Project Manager.
- Supervision of the NRM works in the field and execution / implementation with the Project Team and Community.
- Development of the capacities of the Project Staffs and Community on NRM and taking up active roles in conducting training and exposure visits.
- A regular visit to the field areas, provide technical assistance/handholding to stakeholders at the grassroots (community, gram panchayat, frontline workers of the government) for proper implementation of works.Good coordination with the Team Members for smooth implementation of the project as per target.
- Reporting to the Project Manager and if required to the Sr. Program Manager and Technical Advisor, BRLF and Doners.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification and Experience:
- Applicants must have completed Four Years Graduation (BE Civil / B.Tech.) Or three years diploma in Civil/ Water Engineering from a UGC recognized university (Regular only).
- At least 5–7 years of experience working on implementation on NRM structures in the field.
- Experience working with reputed NGOs, governments, or private sector in NRM interventions.
- Familiarity with PRA, DPR preparation, Planning, Estimates, gender-responsive programming, and Livelihood integration.
- Reporting and Presentation preparation assisting Project manager.
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural and remote environments.
- Own 2-wheeler is required and driving.
- Good command of speaking, reading and writing in Hindi and English is preferred with local language.
5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
The remuneration package is budgeted for a range of INR 60,000/- per month. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with the qualifications, experience and salary history.

7.Age Limit: Max. Up to 35 years
