Lead – Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL)
Location: Alwar, Rajasthan | Reporting to: Executive Director

Role Purpose
The Lead – Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) will architect and institutionalize a robust MEL ecosystem to enable data-driven decision-making, strengthen program effectiveness, and enhance accountability. The role emphasizes learning, adaptation, and evidence generation.
Key Responsibilities
1. MEL Strategy & Systems
- Design and implement organization-wide MEL frameworks
- Develop indicators, tools, and tracking systems
- Align MEL with donor and program requirements
2. Program Effectiveness
- Support program teams in integrating MEL into design
- Track outcomes and recommend improvements
- Ensure adaptive program management
3. Data & Insights
- Oversee data collection and validation
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data
- Generate insights for strategy and reporting
4. Capacity Building
- Build and strengthen internal MEL capacities through training, mentoring, and guidance to program teams.
- Promote a culture of learning, reflection, and continuous improvement across the organization
5. Knowledge Management
- Lead systematic documentation of program successes, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Support storytelling, knowledge dissemination, and advocacy efforts to amplify impact in the women’s empowerment sector.
Core Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including strong presentation skills
- Deep understanding of development sector dynamics and grassroots interventions
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing MEL systems and tools
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant data tools
Qualifications & Experience
- Postgraduate degree (or equivalent) in Management, Rural Development, Social Work, or related disciplines from a reputed institution
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the development sector, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within MEL
- Demonstrated experience in managing MEL systems for large-scale programs
