Sidhbaba Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO) is a dynamic, community-rooted enterprise headquartered at Kotdwar, Pauri Garhwal, dedicated to empowering smallholder farmers of the Garhwal Himalayan region through collective action, value-chain development, and direct market linkages. We aggregate the produce of hundreds of member-farmers — spanning organic grains, herbs, spices, and forest-based commodities — and channel them to institutional buyers, retail markets, and e-commerce platforms across India.
Currently in an exciting high-growth expansion phase, Sidhbaba FPO is scaling its product portfolio, strengthening district-level distribution networks, and forging strategic partnerships with FMCG brands, government procurement bodies, and export agencies. ABOUT THE POSITION — SALES OFFICER

Sidhbaba FPO stands at a pivotal growth inflexion point — evolving from a grassroots farmers' collective into a recognised regional agri-brand — and the Sales Officer will sit at the very engine of this transformation, converting farm produce into market success and farmer prosperity into sustainable business revenue.
As Sales Officer, you will be the face of Sidhbaba FPO in the marketplace: building and nurturing buyer relationships, onboarding institutional clients, and ensuring that our organic and natural products reach the right shelves, screens, and kitchen tables across Uttarakhand and beyond — making every sale a direct contribution to the livelihood of hundreds of member-farmers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify, approach, and onboard new retail, wholesale, and institutional buyers for FPO products across theassigned territory.
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for assigned product categories; report progress against KPIs to the reporting manager weekly.
Maintain and deepen relationships with existing buyers, traders, SHGs, cooperatives, and government procurement agencies.
Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment and last-mile delivery.
Collect and report market intelligence: competitor pricing, buyer preferences, emerging demand trends, and seasonal patterns.
Represent Sidhbaba FPO at haats, melas, trade fairs, farmer markets, and events to build brand visibility and generate leads.
Support onboarding of FPO products on e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms; assist with listings, content, and feedback resolution.
Maintain accurate sales records, daily visit reports, and client databases using digital tools / ERP provided by the FPO.

JOB DESCRIPTION (ROLE DETAIL & DAY-IN-THE-LIFE)
Work Scope & Daily Rhythm: The Sales Officer will split time between field visits (approx. 60-70%) and office-based coordination (30-40%). A typical day begins with reviewing the call plan and pending orders,
followed by market visits to existing buyers and prospecting calls to new leads. Evenings involve updating the sales tracker, submitting daily reports, and coordinating with dispatch for next-day deliveries.
Reporting Structure: The Sales Officer reports directly to the CEO / Business Development Manager of Sidhbaba FPO. Given the start-up stage of the organisation, this role offers direct access to leadership, enabling
fast decision-making, real-time mentoring, and genuine influence over business outcomes from day one.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Monthly revenue achievement vs. target | Number of new buyers onboarded per quarter | Order fulfilment rate | Customer retention and repeat-order ratio | Geographic market coverage (villages/towns per month) | Accuracy and timeliness of daily reporting.
Team & Collaboration: The Sales Officer will work closely with the procurement and warehousing team, the accounts function, and field-level farmer mobilisers. Cross-team coordination is central to this role — ensuring that what is sold in the market can actually be delivered from the farm, on time and at the right quality.
Tools & Technology: Smartphone-based CRM / sales tracking app, WhatsApp Business for buyer communication, Google Sheets / Excel for reporting, and FPO-specific ERP tools as applicable.
Full training will be provided; a genuine willingness to learn and adopt digital tools is essential.
Career Growth Path: High-performing Sales Officers at Sidhbaba FPO can expect rapid progression to Senior Sales Officer, Area Sales Manager, and Business Development Lead as the organisation scales.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED
Graduate in any discipline (B.Com, BBA, B.Sc Agriculture, BA or equivalent); MBA / PGDM in Agri-Business or Marketing is an added advantage.
Strong communication skills in Hindi (mandatory); working knowledge of English for reporting and digital tools.
Familiarity with Pauri Garhwal geography, local markets, and buyer networks is a significant plus.
Basic proficiency with smartphone apps, WhatsApp Business, and Excel / Google Sheets.
Self-motivated, target-oriented, and comfortable with regular field travel within and around the district.
Honest, dependable, and personally aligned with the FPO's mission of farmer welfare and rural development.
Two-wheeler driving licence with own vehicle preferred (conveyance / fuel reimbursement provided as per policy).
