Position Summary: The accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting financial planning and reporting for various programs of the organization.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: -
• Maintain accurate books of accounts (Receipts & Payments, Income & Expenditure, Balance Sheet).
• Prepare vouchers, bills, invoices and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions along with valid supporting document.
• Reconcile accounts, track expenses, and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Maintain project-wise accounts and financial records.
• Preparing of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements (society compliances, GST, TDS, PF & others as applicable).
• Coordinate with chartered Accountant for statutory audit.
• Coordinate with program team for budget utilization and provide periodic variance reports.
• Maintain proper record (physical and digital) of all financial documents.
• Preparation of utilization certificates and financial statements for donor organisations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: -
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B. Com) or related field (M. Com preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting (preferably in development sector organization).
• Compulsory knowledge of accounting software (Tally etc).
• Good knowledge of GST, TDS, EPF and other statutory compliances.
• Strong attention towards minute financial details & accuracy.
• Fluency in speaking, writing, reading English and Hindi.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
