District Coordinator - Adolescent Girls Empowerment Program
LOCATION:
Kangra (Field-based position)
JOB SUMMARY:
JRCT is looking for a motivated and committed District Coordinator to lead and implement district-level activities under the Adolescent Girls Empowerment Program. The coordinator will work closely with adolescent girls, community groups, schools, local governance institutions, and stakeholders to strengthen leadership, awareness, participation, and access to rights and services.
The position requires regular field engagement with rural communities and coordination with a multi professional team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Coordination & Implementation
* Lead and oversee implementation of Adolescent Girls Empowerment Program activities in the district.
* Develop district-level action plans aligned with project objectives.
* Coordinate with schools, community-based organizations, local authorities, and stakeholders.
* Ensure timely and quality implementation of trainings, awareness programs, workshops, and campaigns related to adolescent girls' empowerment.
2. Community Mobilization & Capacity Building
* Mobilize and engage adolescent girls, women, and marginalized communities.
* Conduct workshops and training sessions on gender justice, health, life skills, leadership, education, and rights.
* Support formation and strengthening of adolescent girls' groups and community networks.
* Build leadership capacities among adolescent girls and community volunteers.
3. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
* Strengthen partnerships with government departments, schools, health institutions, NGOs, and community leaders.
* Represent JRCT in district-level meetings and forums.
* Facilitate community participation and advocacy efforts related to adolescent girls' rights and well-being.
4. Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation
* Maintain regular documentation of project activities, outcomes, and case studies.
* Prepare reports and presentations in English and Hindi.
* Support monitoring, evaluation, and data management processes.
5. Administrative & Team Coordination
* Coordinate and support field facilitators, volunteers, and community partners.
* Ensure proper planning and logistical management of activities.
* Work closely with the central program team for effective project implementation.
Qualifications & Skills
EDUCATION:
* University degree preferably in Social Work, Gender Studies, Sociology, or related fields.
EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum 3-4 years of experience in community engagement and development work.
* Experience working with adolescent girls, women, and marginalized communities will be preferred.
* Prior experience in gender justice, education, health rights, or youth programs is desirable.
LANGUAGES:
* Proficiency in English and Hindi (spoken and written) is mandatory.
* Knowledge of local dialects will be an advantage.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
* Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and online communication tools.
* Familiarity with data collection and monitoring processes.

* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Willingness to travel extensively in rural and remote areas.

* Reports to: Program Coordinator
* Supervises: Field facilitators, volunteers, and community-based groups
