Women's Organization for Socio Cultural Awareness (WOSCA)

Women's Organization for Socio-Cultural Awareness (WOSCA) is a voluntary organization established on 20th December 1993 in Keonjhar district of Odisha to serve the under privileged families with special focus on women and children. It has been registered under the Society Registration Act XXI of 1860 in the year 1993-94 and registered under FCRA in the year 2000. Since its inception it has been taking up need-based programs in areas where tribal concentration is more. Most of its programs are women focused. WOSCA is working on governance & livelihood, health & education, women & child rights, and preservation of environment. WOSCA at present covers 1,80,000 families through its 19 development projects in different parts of India. WOSCA is currently managing different health and nutrition projects such as Maternity Waiting Home (Maa Gruha), Nutrition Rehabilitation Center (NRC), Creches, Integrated Health & Nutrition Intervention project etc.

Position Title:
Nutrition Coordinator, Health project at Harichandanpur block of Keonjhar district.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the lead technical resource for nutrition, providing strategic and operational guidance across project components.
* Provide technical leadership for the design, implementation, and monitoring of nutrition interventions in alignment with project goals and relevant guidelines.
* Analyze program and community-level nutrition data and generate actionable insights to strengthen program planning and implementation.
* Ensure appropriate integration of nutrition interventions with broader health contexts, contribute to project activities related to communicable and non-communicable diseases (CD & NCD), with nutrition as the primary technical focus.
* Conduct assessments to identify nutrition-related information and capacity gaps, and provide technical support and training to project teams accordingly.
* Stay updated on nutrition and public health research, policies, and best practices, and integrate relevant learnings into program design to enhance effectiveness.
* Design and deliver training and capacity-building sessions on nutrition for different cadres of project staff and Government stakeholders.
* Develop and update nutrition-focused training modules, technical materials, and reference documents for various stakeholders.
* Support documentation, reporting, and dissemination of program learnings and best practices.
* Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Program Manager in line with project requirements.
Required Competencies
Skills:
* Strong understanding of the Indian healthcare system, public health programs, and service delivery mechanisms at community and facility levels.
* Strong knowledge of nutrition policies, programs, and approaches.
* Understanding of linkages between nutrition and overall health, CD and NCD contexts.
* Proven experience in nutrition program design, implementation, and evaluation.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into practical program actions.
* Good report writing and documentation skills.
* Ability to engage effectively with communities and community-based organizations.
* Excellent communication and training facilitation skills in Odia and English.
* Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and across diverse stakeholders.
Educational Qualifications: Master's degree Public Health, or a related field.
Remuneration / Compensation: Salary will be consolidated INR 50,000 per month .
Work Experience:
* Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in nutrition-focused/CD/NCD programs.
* Exposure to nutrition-sensitive health programming, including CD and/or NCD-related contexts, will be an added advantage.
* Familiarity with relevant software applications for data analysis and reporting.
* Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in nutrition and public health.
Travel Requirements:
* Must possess a valid two-wheeler driving license.
* Must have access to a two-wheeler for official travel.
* Should be willing and able to travel extensively to project locations, including rural and remote areas, as required.
Terms of Employment:
* This is a full-time position based in Harichandanpur block, Keonjhar.
* The initial contract will be for a period of 11 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project funding availability.
