PRAVAH
Pravah is a Jharkhand based non-profit organisation working towards establishing an equity based just society where each individual has a dignified and respectful life. Pravah is currently working in Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal to empower communities with ensured positive deviance through transparency, cooperative and participatory approach.
Inspired by Gandhian Philosophy of ‘Gram Swaraj’ by Mahatma Gandhi, Pravah was founded in 1992 working specially in the Santhal Pargana Region of Jharkhand for poor and vulnerable sections of the society specially the ultra-poor. Over the years, Pravah scaled up its development initiatives through its programmatic expertise and rapport with the local communities.
Today Pravah reaches out to more than 100,000 families through its interventions on sustainable livelihood, natural resource management, women empowerment, health and nutrition, education and promoting and strengthening local self-governance.
Pravah has received continuous support from ITC Limited, Tata Trusts, Welthungerhilfe (WHH), the European Union, NABARD, Trickle Up, Oak Foundation and Government of Jharkhand for various development initiatives.
Pravah is a registered NGO under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and has field offices in Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal.
Role – Block Co-Ordinator Officer

Locations – Littipara, Pakur, Jharkhand
• Innovative knowledge of entrepreneur activity
• Promotions of women led business model
• Market linkages and build the chain of demand and strategies of supplies of the prepared products under this project.
• Manage successful execution of the project in compliance with requirements, regulations, and good practices
• Supervising field workers and community cadres & ensuring that the field staff are supported in their roles and responsibilities
• Facilitate and lead the capacity-building of field staffs and community coaches on thematic areas including ultra-poverty, livelihood development, financial inclusion, convergence with government initiatives, gender and agency.
• Monitor the progress of project participants as per the project mandate
• Identifying local needs, priorities and resources for inclusion in annual action plans to support to project objectives and deliverables
• Working with local bodies, CBOs, CSOs to strategize for the best implementation strategy for the project.
• Mandatory collaboration of government programs such as JSLPS, MGNREGA, PM Awas Yojana, PVTG schemes and National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) and other schemes and entitlements. Ensuring the benefits of these schemes and entitlements reach the targeted population.
• Coordination with block and district government bodies / authorities and line departments to ensure their cooperation and convergence with program activities.
• Preparing monthly and quarterly progress reports, MIS reports and submitting timely to the donor.
• Conducting regular and continuous field visits to assess the quality of work, identifying challenges, monitor the project progress and provide necessary guidance to the team to ensure the project objectives and deliverables.
• Analysing data to identify gaps and areas of improvement.
• Monitoring the budget allocated for block-level projects and ensure its proper utilization.
• Maintaining records of all activities, meetings, and programs conducted at the block level and time to time report regarding the progress and challenges of ongoing project.
• Desire profile: - At least 4-5 years of livelihood project implementation in Jharkhand. Post-graduation or equivalent in Social Work/Sociology/Rural Development / social science/ Development Studies. Knowledge of agriculture will be preferred.
