Aide et Action (India) is a secular, apolitical, not-for-profit organization, operational in India since 1981. It is registered under Section 25 of the Indian Companies Act (now Section 8). Aide et Action envisions “Changing the world through Education.” And its mission is to “Ensure access to quality education for the most vulnerable and marginalized communities, especially children, empowering them to shape their own development and contribute to a more peaceful and sustainable world.”
The core program priorities include Early Childhood Care and Education, Access & Quality Education (Primary & Secondary), and Lifelong Learning & Vocational Training. Position Title: Project Lead
Reports to: Regional Manager, Hyderabad
Location: Gummadidala Project Office (with field visits)
Employment Type: Full-time, Contract (till March 2027, annual renewal)
Salary: Rs.50,000 (Cost to Company) + fixed local travel
Role Overview
The Project Lead will spearhead the PRAGATI, empowering 1,000 underprivileged students across Sangareddy District. This leadership role demands expertise in education, gender equity, and community transformation. The Lead will design strategies, oversee implementation, ensure quality, manage donor relations, and build partnerships with government, industry, and civil society. They serve as the project’s face to stakeholders, ensuring accountability, measurable outcomes, and sustainable impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Translate proposal objectives into annual plans, align with Aide et Action priorities, and conduct strategic reviews.
- Implementation Oversight: Supervise activities across 9 schools, including STEM labs, health programs, and life skills training; ensure quality and compliance.
- Team Management: Mentor thematic experts and facilitators, conduct reviews, and foster a culture of learning and accountability.
- Donor & Financial Management: Liaise with Donor, prepare reports, manage budgets, ensure transparency, and facilitate audits.
- Partnerships & Advocacy: Build collaborations with government, industry, and NGOs; advocate for systemic improvements in girls’ education.
- Monitoring & Evaluation: Implement MEAL framework, track outcomes, conduct evaluations, and document learnings.
- Capacity Building: Organize training on pedagogy, gender-responsive teaching, child protection, and digital monitoring.
- Crisis Management: Lead responses to challenges, ensuring child safety and program continuity.
- Knowledge Sharing: Document processes, prepare case studies, and contribute to publications and policy briefs.
Competencies
- Strategic visioning and leadership in transformative education programs.
- Expertise in girls’ education, gender equity, and community development.
- Strong program management, stakeholder engagement, and financial oversight.
- Proficiency in monitoring, evaluation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication in English and Telugu; advocacy and presentation skills.
- Resilience, problem-solving, and cultural sensitivity in rural Telangana contexts.
Qualifications
- Master’s in Education, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Social Work, or related field.
- 10–12 years’ experience in education/girls’ empowerment, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Experience with donor-funded projects and government partnerships.
- Fluency in English and Telugu; Hindi an advantage.
- Strong technical skills in MS Office, data analysis, and monitoring platforms.
