Wetlands International South Asia office seeks a Communications Associate to support the organization’s communications for a range of projects, as well as maintain website and social media presence. The incumbent will also be responsible for developing news, views and features that bring the organisation’s work into the spotlight.

This is a full-time position based in New Delhi.

Job Purpose

The Communications Associate will be responsible for managing communications for various programmes of Wetlands International South Asia.

Key Responsibilities

Develop communication materials and knowledge products in collaboration with the technical teams to translate complex information into clear visual communication.
Maintain social media presence, familiarity with X (previously Twitter), LinkedIn and Instagram
Assist in knowledge management and documentation, including preparation of meetings, meeting notes, events and their reports, consolidation of reports, among others
Develop informational and promotional written, visual, and digital communications materials
Provide support in the planning and coordination of meetings, workshops, and events,
especially logistical arrangements.
Any other relevant tasks assigned from time to time

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mass communication, journalism, natural resources management or related fields.
Atleast 2-3 years of experience relevant to the job description
Demonstrated proficiency in handling social media
Knowledge of graphic design tools such as a suite of Adobe tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficiency in the English language along with good writing skills
Understanding and interest in environment or wetland issues

Remuneration

The incumbent will be placed in Grade 3 of salary scale, with an annual gross remuneration of Rs. 7 lakhs with all perks.
