Job title: Master Trainer

Department: Program Implementation

Based in location : Delhi (Prahlad Pur, Molar Band and Noida)

Level of Contact with Children: 1 (Direct contact with children)

The position holder shall be responsible to adhere & work within the ambit of Plan India’s Safeguarding Policy & Gender Equality Policy.

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

The proposed project is part of the Flagship Program of Plan India namely “Saksham”, to promote youth employability through skill development.

The project will focus to improve technical, vocational, transferable employability skills to 775 youth, between the age group of 18-29 years from the poor, vulnerable and marginalized communities in Navi Mumbai.

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:

Master Trainer is responsible for designing, delivering, monitoring, and improving high-quality training programs for trainees and trainers. The role focuses on ensuring training effectiveness, standardization of content delivery, capacity building of trainers, and achievement of project outcomes related to skill development, employability, and livelihood enhancement.

KEY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct classroom and practical training sessions in accordance with approved curricula and training standards.
• Deliver employability skills, life skills, digital literacy, and sector-specific technical training on retail, ITES, BFSI etc. as required.
• Use participatory, learner-centric, and experiential training methodologies.
• Ensure effective engagement and learning outcomes for diverse learner groups.
• Maintain close touch with students to provide guidance and mentorship to students.
• Conduct periodical assessment of students to analyse the effectiveness of training, manage/ analyse and control student attritions.
• Introduce innovative techniques of training delivery, assessments and progress tracking.
• Handle existing placement connection for youth after training and exploring new companies to get associated with the project.
• Organise job fairs, industry visits, campus interviews, OJTs, PTMs, alumni meetings.
• Counselling of parents and trainees on vocational choice at different level in the project.
• Conduct trainee’s enrolment and screening as per targets.
• Document and maintain records of handholding pass out students to start their jobs.
• Integrate industry requirements, emerging trends, and best practices into training modules.
• Organise employer’s engagement at various course of level, and, diligence.
• Documentation and record keeping in MIS and Files for enrolment youths in the centre.
• Design and administer pre-training, post-training, and competency-based assessments.
• Track learner progress and identify support requirements.
• Maintain training records, attendance, assessment results, and certification documentation.
• Any other task as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, Management, Vocational Education, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Certification in Training of Trainers (ToT) or relevant pedagogical training is desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in training delivery, capacity building, and skills development programs.
• Experience working with youth employability, TVET, and livelihood projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles, competency-based training, and assessment methodologies.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
• Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities.
• Curriculum design and instructional development expertise.
• Monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and digital learning platforms.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and multicultural teams.
