Compensation: Rs.30,000 per month (CTC) (Negotiable based on qualifications and experience)

About the Role

Tarun Bharat Sangh (TBS) is seeking a committed and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Accounts & Finance to manage accounting operations, statutory compliances, donor financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, audits, and financial monitoring. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, high ethical standards, and the ability to support financial decision-making while ensuring complete regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Management
o Maintain accurate books of accounts, including cash book, bank book, journals, and ledgers.
o Record and verify all financial transactions using Tally, MS Excel, and other accounting software.
o Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
o Perform regular bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances.
o Assist in budgeting, financial planning, cash flow management, and expenditure monitoring.
o Track project-wise budgets and ensure efficient utilisation of funds.
o Maintain vouchers, invoices, bills, supporting documents, and fixed asset registers.
o Support procurement processes and maintain records of the Procurement Committee.

2. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
o Ensure compliance with applicable Income Tax, TDS, PF, Professional Tax, and other statutory requirements.
o Deduct, deposit, and file TDS returns (Forms 24Q & 26Q) within prescribed timelines.
o Issue TDS certificates (Forms 16 & 16A).
o Assist in the preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR).
o Coordinate with consultants and support assessments, audits, and statutory notices.

3. NGO & Donor Compliance
• Ensure compliance with the Societies Registration Act and other applicable laws.
o Support compliance related to 12A, 80G, CSR, and FCRA (FC-4).
o Prepare donor-wise financial statements, utilisation certificates, and financial reports.

o Ensure adherence to donor financial guidelines, reporting formats, and grant conditions.
o Undertake field visits to verify financial records and project expenditures, as required.
o Comply with organisational policies, financial systems, and internal controls.

3. Audit & Financial Reporting:
o Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents for statutory, internal, and donor audits.
o Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely submission of required information.
o Facilitate timely closure of audit observations and maintain audit compliance records.

4. Payroll Administration:
o Process monthly payroll accurately and on time.
o Calculate salaries, statutory deductions, reimbursements, and employee benefits.
o Maintain payroll records and employee compensation documentation.

5. Documentation & MIS:
o Maintain secure physical and digital financial records.
o Ensure systematic filing of contracts, agreements, compliance records, and statutory documents.
o Generate financial reports, dashboards, and MIS for management review and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Graduate or Postgraduate in Commerce (B.Com/M.Com) or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
• Experience in the development or NGO sector will be preferred.

Required Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, and internal controls.
• Working knowledge of NGO financial management, donor reporting, CSR, and FCRA regulations will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and other accounting software.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
• Good communication skills in Hindi and English; knowledge of the local language will be an advantage.
• Willingness to travel to project locations for financial verification and monitoring.
