Reporting to: Project Coordinator (PC)
Main office: Kolkata, West Bengal (with extensive field travel)
Field: Basirhat, North 24 Parganas and Sundarbans, South 24 Parganas
Travel Requirement: 60% (The candidate must be open to frequent travel)
Remuneration: INR 22,000 – INR 24,000 per month (Negotiable- depending on experience)
Experience: Minimum 1 year in a child protection project
Education Qualification: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Child Development, Public Health, Social Work, Sociology, or a related social science field.

About KMWSC
Kolkata Mary Ward Social Centre (KMWSC) is the social development wing of the Loreto Congregation in the South Asia Province. Registered in June 2014 under the West Bengal Societies’ Registration Act 1961 as a not-for-profit organization, KMWSC implements multiple projects across various thematic areas aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in West Bengal and Nawada District, Bihar.

Key Responsibilities
1. Team Management & Project Implementation
• Provide overall management, direction, and guidance to the field team to ensure smooth project implementation.
• Supervise Child Protection Workers, oversee data collection processes, and compile comprehensive field data for reporting to the Project Coordinator.
• Develop robust project plans, timelines, and action frameworks while ensuring strict adherence to organizational guidelines and policies.
2. Child Protection, Advocacy & Case Management
• Provide handholding support and guidance to project staff in addressing complex child protection issues across the spectrum, from rescue to rehabilitation.
• Respond immediately and effectively to instances of child rights violations in the field, ensuring strict adherence to safeguarding standards.
• Advocate for child-friendly laws, policies, and practices at local and national levels.
• Facilitate the safe, meaningful participation of children in advocacy activities, supporting child-led initiatives and platforms.
3. Liaison, Networking & Stakeholder Engagement
• Lobby and build strong, collaborative relationships with various government departments and district-level authorities.
• Nurture and maintain positive relationships with community members, local leaders, civil society organizations, and partners.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and multi-sectoral dialogue sessions.
4. Capacity Building & Training
• Identify training needs, plan, and organize capacity-building sessions for both the field team and external community stakeholders.
• Arrange regular, structured professional development training for internal project staff.
5. Administration, Finance & Reporting
• Monitor project budgets diligently to ensure optimal resource utilization and financial compliance.
• Oversee the collection of bills, preparation of financial vouchers, and maintenance of field expense records.
• Maintain official documentation for field staff, including activity logs, daily trackers, and salary/attendance registers.
• Responsible for drafting high-quality monthly progress reports, case studies, and real-time updates from the field.
• Preparation of project activity reports and case studies
