## About the Project

The **Rural Crèche Initiative**, implemented in partnership with the Azim Premji Foundation, aims to improve the nutritional status, health, and developmental outcomes of children aged **7 months to 3 years**. The programme provides supplementary nutrition, early childhood care and stimulation, growth monitoring, and convergence with government services to ensure holistic child development.

## Position Summary

The Cluster Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and quality of the Rural Crèche Initiative across assigned villages. The role involves programme monitoring, mentoring field staff, strengthening community participation, ensuring nutrition and child safety standards, coordinating with government stakeholders, and supporting data-driven decision-making.

This is a field-intensive role requiring frequent travel within the project area.

## Key Responsibilities

### Programme Implementation & Monitoring

* Monitor the functioning of assigned crèche centres through regular field visits.
* Ensure timely growth monitoring and follow-up of children at nutritional risk.
* Support implementation of programme activities according to project standards.
* Review MIS data and ensure timely corrective actions.

### Quality Assurance

* Monitor quality of nutrition, hygiene, safety, and early childhood care practices.
* Verify anthropometric measurements and ensure data accuracy.
* Support implementation of child safeguarding standards across all centres.

### Team Support & Capacity Building

* Mentor and support Crèche Supervisors and Caregivers.
* Conduct on-site coaching, monthly reviews, and refresher sessions.
* Promote age-appropriate learning and play-based activities.

### Community & Government Coordination

* Coordinate with ICDS, Health Department, PRI representatives, and other local stakeholders.
* Facilitate access to government services including immunization, VHSND, and Take Home Ration (THR).
* Strengthen participation of Mata Samiti and community members.

### Reporting & Logistics

* Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
* Support verification of ration supplies and logistics.
* Participate in programme planning, review meetings, and monitoring visits.

## Qualification & Experience

### Essential

* Master's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
* Minimum **3 years** of experience in community development, public health, nutrition, education, or early childhood programmes.
* Experience supervising field teams and coordinating programme implementation.
* Basic computer skills (MS Office, Google Workspace, email, spreadsheets).
* Ability to communicate effectively in Hindi; working knowledge of English is desirable.
* Willingness to travel extensively in rural areas.
* Must possess a valid two-wheeler driving licence and have access to a motorcycle or scooter.

### Preferred

* Educational background in Nutrition, Public Health, Social Work, Education, Rural Development, or Early Childhood Development.
* Experience working with ICDS, health systems, or child-focused programmes.
* Familiarity with MIS and data-based programme monitoring.

## Consultancy Terms

* This is a **full-time consultancy engagement**.
* Consultancy fee: **Rs 30,000 per month (CTC)**.
* **10% TDS** will be deducted as per applicable Income Tax provisions.
* Travel expenses will be reimbursed as per Anantmool Foundation's Travel Policy.
* Applicants must disclose any current employment, consultancy, business, or NGO affiliation before joining. Selected candidates are expected to devote their full professional commitment to this assignment unless prior written approval is obtained from the Foundation.
