I. Introduction
Collectives for Integrated Livelihood Initiatives (CInI)?is a resource organization committed to improving the overall quality of life in rural and tribal regions across the Central India belt, spanning the states of Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat. Established in 2007 as an associate organization of Tata Trusts, CInI has pioneered several scalable and impactful programs across key thematic areas—Livelihoods, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WaSH), Education, Sports, Primary Healthcare & Nutrition. Our initiatives are aligned with the?Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030?and have been recognised on national and international platforms.
CInI anchors its work in community institutions, women’s collectives, and frontline workers. In partnership with CSOs and State Governments, we leverage technology, and robust processes to deliver sustainable, scalable impact—powered by 300+ development professionals across implementation geographies.
II. Key Accountabilities
CInI is directly implementing an integrated livelihood enhancement project in selected clusters and Akkalkuwa blocks of Nandurbar District of Maharashtra. To strengthen the Water Resource Development (Irrigation & Soil Water Conservation) activities under the project. CInI intends to appoint an Executive - Technical (Irrigation) with specialisation and hands-on experience in Water Resource Development.
Need to have good experience of working on a fairly large and Intensive irrigation development program/project with hands-on experience of designing & implementing various types of irrigation projects for smallholder farmers. The candidate must also have experience and understanding of implementing such a project in close partnership with community organisations and their members.
• Develop comprehensive irrigation development plans for each village and hamlets as per identified prototypes. Suggest technical solutions to ensure access to irrigation to the community in different conditions in the project cluster.
• Develop technical design, cost estimate, and utilisation plan of identified irrigation schemes like new well, well renovation, lift irrigation, distribution line, solar lift irrigation, gabion, LBS, SCT, check dam new/repairing etc.
• Ensure proper implementation of schemes by closely working with community, CBOs and field staff.
• Undertake regular field-level monitoring to ensure quality of works as per plan.
• Build the capacities of CBOs, community leaders, Community Resource Persons (CRPs) and CInI field staff in planning and implementing WRD interventions.
• Cluster development work is undertaken as defined by the project.
• Ensure /support in developing team plans, regular reporting and MIS.
• Support in implementation of other thematic interventions like – Agriculture, Livestock and Institution building etc.
III. Eligibility and requirements
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Engineering
• Experience: 3–4 years of field experience in the design and implementation of Water Resource Development projects, including Irrigation, Soil and Water Conservation, and Watershed Development.
Skills, Competencies and Experience:
• Good Communication & documentation skills
• Good knowledge of Marathi, English & Hindi
• Good working knowledge of MS Office.
