Sampark currently works across three core programme areas:
Resilient Migrant Workers Programme
This programme focuses on improving the social, economic, and legal well-being of migrant workers and their families through social protection, labour rights, community institutions, and access to essential services in Bengaluru, Karnataka, and Hyderabad, Telangana.
Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Programme
This programme provides comprehensive early childhood care and education for children of migrant families through centre-based learning, nutrition, health, and school readiness interventions in Bengaluru, Karnataka, and Hyderabad, Telangana.
Building Women Owned Institutions Programme:
This project focuses on strengthening the agency and freedom of rural and Devadasi women through socio-economic empowerment in Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) and Koppal (Karnataka).
Position Overview
Sampark seeks to appoint an experienced and dynamic Director – Migration & Early Childhood Care and Education Programmes to provide strategic, operational, and thematic leadership for its Resilient Migrant Workers and Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) programmes.
The Director will be responsible for translating Sampark's strategic vision into high-quality programme implementation by providing leadership in planning, implementation, monitoring, budgeting, donor engagement, compliance, team development, partnership building, and resource mobilization.
Working closely with programme managers, field teams, donors, government departments, and strategic partners, the Director will strengthen programme quality, ensure financial and regulatory compliance, build staff capacity, oversee donor reporting and grant management, and foster innovation and learning across both programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Planning :
- Provide strategic leadership for the Migration and ECCE programmes in alignment with Sampark's vision and strategic plan.
- Develop annual and multi-year programme plans aligned with organizational priorities and donor commitments.
- Identify opportunities for programme expansion, innovation, partnerships, and cross-learning across both programmes.
- Lead periodic strategic programme reviews to assess progress against organizational goals, programme outcomes, and donor commitments.
- Analyse programme performance using monitoring data, financial performance, beneficiary feedback, and emerging sector trends to strengthen programme quality and organizational learning.
- Present strategic programme updates, performance dashboards, challenges, and recommendations to the Director – Operations and senior leadership.
- Ensure programme plans, outputs, budgets, and implementation strategies are realistic, measurable, gender-responsive, and aligned with implementation capacity.
Educational Qualifications :
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Rural Management, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Women's Studies, Public Policy, Business Administration, Economics, Sociology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
