About the Position
Role Summary
The Associate Manager will provide end-to-end programme management and business development support across maternal and child health and nutrition projects implemented by CKD in multiple states. The role requires a highly organised and proactive professional who can manage multiple priorities simultaneously, coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, monitor programme progress, support proposal development, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones while maintaining compliance with organisational and donor requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management
- Support planning, implementation, monitoring and project management of nationwide maternal nutrition program and other ongoing programs on NCDs, Immunization etc
- Develop and maintain detailed workplans, trackers, risk registers and implementation calendars. Ensure timely initiation, planning and implementation of activities through the state and district teams across 10 major states of the program
- Monitor programme progress against agreed deliverables, budgets, timelines and performance indicators.
- Coordinate with state teams to ensure timely execution of activities and submission of deliverables.
- Ensure HR , administration and financial management support to the AD with respect timely attendance, payments, logistics coordination and contracting processes for the activities approved under the project
- Organise monthly project review meetings and document minutes, action points and follow-up actions.
- Identify implementation bottlenecks and support timely resolution in consultation with programme leadership.
- Support donor reporting, technical documentation and knowledge management.
2. Coordination & Operations
- Serve as the central coordination point between programme teams, finance, procurement, HR, legal and external partners.
- Track contracts, consultancies, vendor engagements and partner agreements.
- Coordinate procurement and logistics for programme activities, workshops and trainings.
- Maintain project documentation, filing systems and compliance records.
- Ensure timely processing of invoices, approvals and administrative requirements.
3. Business Development
- Support identification and tracking of funding opportunities from bilateral agencies, foundations and CSR partners.
- Coordinate proposal development processes across technical, finance and operations teams.
- Contribute to proposal writing, budgeting inputs, staffing plans and annexures.
- Develop capability statements, project briefs, concept notes and organisational profiles.
- Maintain proposal trackers and business development databases.
- Support due diligence documentation and donor compliance requirements.
4. Human Resources & Staffing
- Coordinate recruitment processes for project positions, including drafting job descriptions, scheduling interviews and coordinating onboarding.
- Track staffing requirements across projects and support deployment planning.
- Coordinate consultant engagement, contracts and performance documentation.
- Support induction of new staff and ensure completion of mandatory documentation.
5. Monitoring, Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Track programme outputs, deliverables and contractual obligations across projects.
- Ensure adherence to donor requirements, organisational policies and quality standards.
- Support review of technical reports and deliverables before submission.
- Maintain programme dashboards and generate periodic progress updates for leadership.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Policy, Management or a related discipline.
- 6–9 years of relevant experience in programme management, project coordination or consulting within the development sector.
- Experience working on maternal and child health, nutrition, health systems strengthening or social development programmes is preferred.

- Experience working with government departments, development partners and implementing agencies will be an advantage.
