About SAATHII: Solidarity and Action Against the HIV Infection in India (SAATHII) is a registered non-profit organization established with the vision of ensuring universal access to healthcare, justice, and social protection for socio-economically marginalized women and children, communities affected by HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis, and individuals marginalized on the basis of their sexuality and gender identity. Headquartered in Chennai and supported by nine regional offices across India, SAATHII works at national, state, and community levels to strengthen health systems and improve equitable access to quality services. Through strategic partnerships with government agencies, civil society organizations, communities, and development partners, SAATHII advances its mission through technical assistance, capacity building, research, advocacy, knowledge management, information dissemination, and evidence-based programme implementation.

About Project: SAATHII is implementing a project to strengthen the integration of Tuberculosis (TB) screening, diagnosis, treatment, and care within maternal health services for pregnant and postpartum women across selected districts in West Bengal, Odisha, Manipur, and Haryana. The project seeks to address the persistent gap in TB detection and treatment among this vulnerable population by embedding comprehensive TB services within existing antenatal and postnatal care platforms. Working closely with the Central TB Division, National Health Mission, State TB Divisions, district health authorities, frontline health workers, and private healthcare providers, the initiative aims to strengthen systematic screening, referral mechanisms, treatment initiation, and continuity of care. Through the implementation and documentation of practical, scalable, and sustainable service delivery models, the project will generate evidence and best practices to support wider adoption and institutionalization of integrated TB–maternal health services within government health systems.

Qualifications and skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Social Sciences, or a related field, with strong field-level experience.
2. At least 3 years of progressive experience in health facility management, stakeholder engagement, data collection, and reporting within the health and development sector, preferably at the district or block level.
3. Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with district and block-level government health departments.
4. Experience with Tuberculosis (TB) programmes, Nikshay, maternal and child health initiatives, or other public health programmes is highly desirable. Experience in vector-borne disease control programmes is an added advantage.
5. Experience working with the private healthcare sector for health data reporting is desirable.
6. Hands-on experience collaborating with block-level health facilities and frontline health workers.
7. Experience working with FOGSI, IMA, or other medical associations will be an advantage.
8. Proficiency in MS Office, internet-based platforms, and health data management tools.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the relevant state language (Bangla, Odia, Manipuri, Haryanvi, or Hindi). Good command of English for documentation and reporting is desirable.
10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, multicultural environment, with strong coordination and teamwork skills.
11. Willingness to undertake extensive travel across districts and blocks to support programme implementation, monitoring, capacity building, and quality assurance activities.

Roles and Responsibilities
1. Support district-level field implementation in line with approved project plans, ensuring integration of TB screening and management within ANC/PNC service delivery.
2. Supporting coordination with district and block-level stakeholders, including NTEP, NHM/MNCH, Women and Child Development (WCD), and other relevant departments to improve access and service uptake and strengthen convergence of maternal health and TB services
3. Strengthen engagement with private healthcare providers to improve TB screening, referral, notification, and reporting under the NTEP framework.
4. Conducting sensitization workshops, trainings, and orientation sessions for frontline health workers, facility staff, and community stakeholders on integrated TB screening and maternal health protocols
5. Undertaking regular field visits to health facilities, VHSNDs, PMSMA clinics and related community settings to support implementation, monitor adherence to SOPs, and provide on-site mentoring to frontline workers
6. Support health facility staff in maintaining accurate records, reviewing data quality, and ensuring timely reporting through government portals and registers.
7. Facilitate interdepartmental coordination with health, women and child development, education, and nutrition departments to improve access to maternal TB screening, referral, and treatment services.
8. Represent the project in district and block review meetings, government forums, and partner coordination platforms to ensure effective collaboration and programme visibility.
9. Collecting, compiling, and validating activity and service delivery data, and supporting timely reporting to district. This includes documentation of best practices, case studies, and key implementation learnings.
10. Identifying field-level challenges and supporting corrective actions to improve programme performance
Remuneration: Salary will be commensurate with skills, qualifications, years of experience, and current pay scale.
