About SAATHII: Solidarity and Action Against the HIV Infection in India (SAATHII) is a registered non-profit organization established with the vision of ensuring universal access to healthcare, justice, and social protection for socio-economically marginalized women and children, communities affected by HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis, and individuals marginalized on the basis of their sexuality and gender identity. Headquartered in Chennai and supported by nine regional offices across India, SAATHII works at national, state, and community levels to strengthen health systems and improve equitable access to quality services. Through strategic partnerships with government agencies, civil society organizations, communities, and development partners, SAATHII advances its mission through technical assistance, capacity building, research, advocacy, knowledge management, information dissemination, and evidence-based programme implementation.

About Project: SAATHII is implementing a project to strengthen the integration of Tuberculosis (TB) screening, diagnosis, treatment, and care within maternal health services for pregnant and postpartum women across selected districts in West Bengal, Odisha, Manipur, and Haryana. The project seeks to address the persistent gap in TB detection and treatment among this vulnerable population by embedding comprehensive TB services within existing antenatal and postnatal care platforms. Working closely with the Central TB Division, National Health Mission, State TB Divisions, district health authorities, frontline health workers, and private healthcare providers, the initiative aims to strengthen systematic screening, referral mechanisms, treatment initiation, and continuity of care. Through the implementation and documentation of practical, scalable, and sustainable service delivery models, the project will generate evidence and best practices to support wider adoption and institutionalization of integrated TB–maternal health services within government health systems.

Qualifications and skills:
1. Master's degree or equivalent in Demography, Sociology, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field with strong data collection, training facilitation and stakeholder management skills. Candidates with a bachelor's degree and exceptional relevant experience may also be considered.
2. Minimum three years of progressively responsible experience in stakeholder management, data collection, data reporting within the health and development sector, preferably at the district programme level.
3. Prior experience in the implementation of vector-borne disease control programmes, including malaria and dengue control initiatives, will be highly desirable
4. Skills in setting metrics, monitoring field operations, and delivering initiatives on time.
5. Fostering sustainable relationships with district-level government health departments.
6. Knowledge of and experience working with Tuberculosis (TB) programmes, Nikshay, maternal and child health programmes, or other public health initiatives will be highly desirable.
7. Working experience with private sectors for health data reporting will be desirable.
8. Working experience with FOGSI, IMA, and other medical associations will be an added advantage.
9. Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office Suite, internet-based platforms, and data management tools.
10. Excellent oral and written communication skills in the state language (Bangla, Odia, Manipuri, or Haryanvi) and English. Working knowledge of Hindi will be considered an added advantage.
11. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a complex, dynamic, and multicultural environment.
12. Willingness and ability to undertake extensive travel across project districts to support programme implementation, monitoring, capacity building, and quality assurance activities.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Leading district-level implementation in line with approved plans, ensuring integration of TB screening and management within ANC/PNC service delivery platforms
2. Coordinating with key stakeholders including District TB Officers (NTEP), NHM/MNCH officials, district hospitals, and professional bodies such as FOGSI and IMA to enable convergence and service uptake
3. Facilitating inter-departmental coordination (health, women and child development, education, and nutrition) to improve access to maternal TB screening, referral, and treatment services
4. Supporting engagement with private providers to strengthen screening, referral, and notification within the NTEP framework
5. Tracking and documenting progress against key indicators, including ANC TB screening coverage, presumptive TB identification, diagnostic linkage, treatment initiation, TPT uptake, and adherence
6. 6. Representing the project in district-level review meetings, government forums, and partner platforms to ensure alignment and visibility
7. Preparing timely and high-quality monthly and quarterly reports, including documentation of best practices, case studies, and implementation learnings
8. Identifying implementation bottlenecks and supporting corrective actions in coordination with state and national teams
9. Ensuring achievement of district-level outputs and outcomes across public and private health systems
