Project Associate

Projonmo

Location: Guwahati, Tamulpur, Assam

Apply by: 05 Aug 2026

Relevant Sectors

Social, Gender, Education, Youth, Child

Projonmo is an Assam-based organisation working with children, young people, and adults with disabilities and developmental support needs, along with their families, schools, and communities. Its central concern is not only whether a child receives therapy. It is whether the child can communicate, learn, move, participate in routines, enter education, build relationships, and become more independent over time. The organisation works from two connected settings: Ankur Path in Guwahati, where specialist-led services are available, and a Community Divyangjan Centre in Tamulpur, where the work must also address distance, poverty, limited specialist access, family burden, and community awareness.
Projonmo began as a local educational initiative and developed into a registered Assam-based non-profit organisation in 2013-14. Its early inclusive classroom -- the first of its kind in the Northeast Region -- showed children could not participate meaningfully in school if they did not get enough support first with communication, regulation, movement, learning, daily routines, or caregiver understanding. Over time, Projonmo expanded from education support into therapy, special education, family support, community outreach, disability-rights access, and livelihood-linked work.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Associate to support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of projects. The Project Associate will work closely with project managers, team members, and stakeholders to ensure project activities are completed on time and in accordance with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing project activities.
Monitor project progress and maintain project documentation.
Prepare reports, presentations, and project updates for stakeholders.
Coordinate meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
Liaise with internal teams, partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Support data collection, analysis, and documentation for project monitoring and evaluation.
Maintain project records, budgets, and procurement documentation where required.
Ensure compliance with donor, organizational, and statutory requirements.
Perform other project-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Management, Public Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred for some projects).
1-3 years of relevant experience in project coordination or implementation (or as specified).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience working with NGOs, development organizations, or government projects is an advantage.

Preferred Skills:

Project management and coordination.
Report writing and documentation.
Data management and analysis.
Stakeholder engagement.
