The Youth Associate: Fellowships, is expected to conduct the Leher Fellowships with 6 young men. They are expected to demonstrate a strong understanding of gender and masculinities considering the subject focus of the fellowship. As a part of conducting the fellowship, their role will include everything from designing the fellowship structure, modules, and sessions to facilitating modules and sessions, managing logistics and coordination for the fellowship, sourcing opportunities and resources for the fellows, managing the partners and external stakeholders of the fellowship, to taking care of the psycho-emotional needs as well as the pedagogic learning of the fellows. The role allows significant scope for growth and learning.

Role and Responsibility:

Understand the vision and mission of Shakti Shalini to work toward gender equality.

?Understand the vision and mission of the Youth Mentorships program to nurture and build future gender equality champions.

Understand the vision and mission of the Leher Fellowship, particularly regarding the importance of working with young men through the lens of gender and masculinities as an essential contribution toward gender equality.

Designing the structures, systems, processes of the Leher Fellowship through the lens of gender and masculinities and in alignment with the skills and themes targeted by the fellowship.

?Designing modules and sessions for the Leher Fellowship through the lens of gender and masculinities and in alignment with the skills and themes targeted by the fellowship.

Implementing and facilitating the modules and sessions with the 6 fellows through the lens of gender and masculinities and in alignment with the skills and themes targeted by the fellowship.

Creating and maintaining external partnerships for the fellowship and bringing external mentors, opportunities, and resources to the fellows.

Lead the group of 6 fellows ensuring their compliance with the policies of the organisation and rules of the fellowship.

Invest time, care, and nurture in the psycho-emotional safety and wellbeing of the fellows.

?Alongside group work, ensure that individualised and personalised attention and support is provided to each fellow.

Ensure that in all conduct with the fellows, partners, team, and other stakeholders, principles of equality, empathy, non-judgment, care, democratic approaches, is maintained.

Manage the day to day logistics and coordination for the fellowships such as calendars, schedules, time management, sourcing essential requirements, communication across mentors and programs.

Ensure that all qualitative and quantitative documentation, as planned, is maintained for the fellowship.

?Ensure monthly reports are submitted to the organisation on the fellowship.

Ensure that reports as per the formats and frequency mandated are prepared for the funder of the fellowship.

Ensure implementation of the fellowship MEL system.

Ensure data tracking and management for the fellowship.

Ensure regular updates from the fellowship to the organisation's media team for content creation, newsletters, media outreach.

Represent the organisation, particularly the fellowship, at relevant public platforms and partnering organisations.

Participate in full-team and project specific capacity buildings and trainings that are offered by the organisation to upgrade skills and knowledge.

Participate in all pan-organisation meetings and annual events.
